  1. Man, PR needs to get some good teachers up there. You guys should have stepped in and put a stop to all of their nonsense. I really hope the bad teaching they have won't keep them out of the.........oh yeah People, get off the computer and go do something constructive. Sure, have some reviews........whatever. This is not professional sports. Go buy tickets, volunteer time, sew, drive..........something. Next time you go see a corps, see if you can help them do something. Clearly most drum corps staff people have it together. Maybe they should recruit designers from DCP.............riiiiiiiiight. Get over yourself. But seriously, maybe Regiment and Scouts should hire all of you next time. They don't know what is going on..........
  2. Rifles- BD Snares- Phantom Bass drums- Cadets Flags- Carolina Crown Sopranos- Cadets Baritones- Phantom Mellos- Cavaliers
  3. amps- fine. voice- fine. woodwinds........not yet
  4. Just telling you how it is. Some corps (only a few) only exist to win. I don't have to tell you who those corps are. This is now the reason I posted this topic. Let's stay on track.
  5. yeah....... in Huntington, WV.....like the place you live.......
  6. But, some people who like to win design their shows specifically for the judges........which one comes first, the chicken or the egg??
  7. You know they aren't catching all that stuff with drill the way it is now. Proper sampling is not being demonstrated consistently enough to base score comparisons from night to night and between judges. If they were in the box, they could hear the brass sound as a whole more effectively. You can't tell me that they would miss too much. I think they would hear more. More of the important things anyhow.
  8. Worked before..... more exciting shows to boot.... correct me if I am wrong..... 89? early 90s? Give me some info
  9. True, they are important. Without the audience, drum corps is just something to do in your spare time. They give the members the reward at the end of the performance. We thrive on performance.
  10. innocuous • not intended to cause offense or provoke a strong reaction and unlikely to do so an innocuous comment
  11. What is the one thing about drum corps that either got you involved or the one thing that keeps you coming back for more? Only one. Your top reason for loving this activity. What about the activity makes you waste away time on the computer reading posts on this website? For me- the self-gratification after an awesome performance- seeing that crowd
