  1. Corps added: Phantom Drum Corps (A) Colorado Colts (AA) The Directors Drum and Bugle Corps (A) Total attending: 28 (TWO short of our goal of THIRTY!!) Class Breakdown: A: 3 AA: 4 AAA: 7 AAAA: 5 AAAAA: 9 Exhibition (Open): 4 (FDO Ensembles) SOMETHING NEW!! For those that do not advance to the semi-finals, you will be invited to come to the high school's auditorium and perform a standstill show for the audience there. You will have full use of the auditorium floor and stage for your corps. No additional submission forms are necessary as I will use just what you guys have given me. It will be an open class setting, meaning every corps for themselves and most likely scores and ratings will both be given out. Judging criteria will be as follows: Two Judges for Music Ensemble (15 pts each, 30 pts total) + One Judge for Music Individual (10 pts total) = Music Performance (40 points) One Judge for General Effect Music (30 pts total) + One Judge for General Effect Visual (10 pts total) = General Effect (40 points) One judge for Visual Ensemble (15 pts) + One judge for Visual Individual (5 pts) = Visual Performance (20 points) MP + GE + VE = up to possible 100 points (Percussion and Auxiliary are not judged for this event.)

  3. As of now, I have received applications and caption submissions from all twenty-one corps signed up thus far. That means that one band will not officially advance to the next round as of now. However, if time permits, the band that does not advance to compete will possibly be invited to perform in semi-finals in exhibition only as it would not be fair to just cut one ensemble compared to many. If I do get more corps to sign up, then there won't be any exhibition performances unless it's possible to have a consolation competition close by (possibly at the nearby Middle School). I would like it if directors that haven't signed up or are wanting to have more ensembles join from their organization would participate in classes A, AA, or AAAA. I need ensembles in all three of these classes!! :) -Wayne

  7. With that said, I am waiting on information from David, but I will (hopefully) have the submission form up tonight, if not tomorrow. I might have to push back the events a day or two, but I will only do that if my college coursework backlogs me that much to warrant it. Thanks for you appreciation with this transition guys and I will make this event as pleasurable and comfortable for everyone as possible. -Wayne
  8. Hey guys, I usually talk to David every chance I am able to, but the fact is he has not been on lately at all. He has been asking for my help in running his event which I am more than willing to do and if need be run it for him (just as long as I can get the information from him). If it comes to me having to run the show (as it were), then so be it. If that is the case, would you guys mind giving me a few extra days to get everything together and everything for you guys? -Wayne
  9. BUMP. We now have enough bands to justify having three full rounds for this event. However, due to lack of participation, I will be cancelling the Percussion and Guard side events. I am still missing caption submissions from Star of Jupiter (AAAAA) and Cross (AAA). Need them ASAP! (PM also sent to you.) -Wayne

  13. I say just stay where we are right now. Most directors that have three corps in their organizations (including myself) do not want to choose which corps is going to kick the bucket as it were and not be able to compete anymore in DCPI. If a proposal like this is to be brought forward, I'd immediately would reject it as you will cause a riot among those directors with multiple corps in their organizations.
  14. Directors, Please attend these pre-season events as they all will give your members the experience of a lifetime! As far as I have seen or heard, all of these events are being well attended this season, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible! :D

  16. BUMP I will be posting Percussion Showdown schedules ASAP. Also, if you haven't noticed, I have upped the amound of corps allowed to attend per organization to FIVE in hopes of getting more corps to participate in the lower classes. If more corps do not sign up for the A and AA classes, I will be combining both of those classes and will readjust the semifinal and final allotments accordingly. As of now, we have 19 corps signed up for the Showcase of Corps (field show), we are hoping for as many as 30! Should directors that have sent information want to send more corps from their organization, that is fine. -Wayne

  18. Check PMs. As for the Field Judges, I had alot wanting to judge, so I easily found a place for them. However, if need be, I will drop the Field Percussion and Field Auxiliary and make them judge in the Press Box. :)
