  1. The Blue Stars are the Blue Stars
  2. No, we are not. We have been around since the 60's, crown has been around since the 90's. We have our own traditions we uphold and as far as I'm concerned our show designs are nowhere similar
  3. Its just a warm-up/practice tune for the hornline. A listening exercise more than anything. It won't be heard on the field otuside of an encore maybe
  4. Oh I know they can. Just seemed like the person I quoted was under the impression we had some huge fancy rig.
  5. Lol, nothing fancy. Just a handheld recorder...
  6. and they just posted another clip of hornline and battery, woohoo!
  7. Its march man. Considering that, I'd say it sounds pretty darn good
  8. The Blue Stars have posted 2 clips of their last camp (one of the hornline, one with horns and battery) to their facebook page. To those of you without facebook....sorry:( To those of you with facebook, enjoy! http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/bluestars?ref=ts
  9. Cadets 05. Total package like I've never seen before. HM to cavaliers 02...such a powerful and well refined brass line.
  10. My argument would be directed towards the outsides perception of the activity. There are millions that are just clueless as to what the activity is, and referring to it as "drum corps" only doesnt help the perception i dont think
  11. Been there, done that. Totally not as entertaining as any corps I've seen. I agree with you man
  12. Worst finals field ever. Especially for the semi's corps. We had to look directly into the sun....my drum major was a silhouette
  13. As stated previously, I never buy the DVD's when they are released. All my friends end up buying them and I can watch theirs until the price drops and I can buy it for myself
  14. i am partial to the dallas show because it was my first show I ever attended. That event was seriously life changing. Houston has been more fun to perform in
  15. The Stadium in Houston beats the pants out of the one in Dallas.
  16. Just because we don't wear them on the uniform doesn't mean its not one of the corps colors, it still is. Just think of it has 'retired' from the uniform personally, i think the current uni would look sweet with some form of red on it. Red white and blue...would have been great for last years show
  17. The uniforms are blue, with a four point star on the jacket and the shako, that pretty much says "Blue Stars" to me Do the Blue Knights look anything like Blue Knights? Do the Blue Devils look like Blue Devils? A uniform is not what makes a corps...
  18. Also, I am in no way insulted. Again, its not the uniform that made the corps famous. Its the people
  19. Also, I am in no way insulted. Again, its not the uniform that made the corps famous. Its the people
  20. Me and the rest of the Blue Stars take great pride in not only the uniform we wear, but the traditions we carry on and off the field.
  21. Thats wonderful that you knew a bunch of talented people and all, but why on earth would you want to spend your summer with a bunch of "a-holes" Trust me, you can be awesome at what you do without being a jerk about it...its much more fun that way too
