  1. Hi all, was great seeing everyone at practice yesterday. I think the horn line count was 43 +. great sound for the first outing with many of us not playing since DCA weekend. The oldies, were an easy run through, the Charity medley was much better once played live. The midi file doesn't do it justice at all. Was fun to play and had very nice transitions. This will be a great year. Learning brand new stuff won't be much of an issue as the oldies are already in the blood! Every other week practices are a nice change. Nice job everyone. see ya soon
  2. Hi all, looking forward to getting back into it. As a member from day one with the Alumni corps, it has been the best 18 years of my DC career. (ok maybe while playing under truman Crawford beats that, but that was more of a learning phase) . If you've been out of touch marching, come out and have some fun with us. Don't think that "i've been out too long to do it". We have had many members rekindle the DC flame after over 20 years or non participation. They're having a ball. See ya the 9th
  3. I too marched with Greece 74-78. was a great time and a thrill to win Class A in Philly. I went on to the USMC D&B in Wash DC under Truman Crawford till 82. I marched in a few parade corps then joined the Mighty St Joes Alumni Corps in 91 and I'm still there! This has been a fantastic ride as I can't commit to competition just yet. There's no show that goes by that I don't see old friends, to those who compete good luck, to those who march Alumni exhibition I'll see ya around. More importantly for those who used to be part of this thing called Drum and Bugle Corps, don't ever think you're too old or have lost the talent to do what ever you did back then, there is always room and every corp out there needs you. Alot don't require true Alumni status. So check them out and join one it's still a ball. See ya on the tour
