  1. I have been mistaken in the past, but I seem to remember a Div. II/III corps called Prairie Fire at a competition in 1993. Don't remember where they hailed from. I remember three guys running around for 10 minutes. One played soprano one played baritone, and the third had a bass drum/cymbal contraption. It was hi-freakin-larious. I don't remember if they even received a score. Patrick
  2. Troopers are back, and big/loud. Every thing else is as it should be. Corps is Corps. Did I mention Troopers? Patrick
  3. Break break... When I marched those glorious many years (tee hee) ago, I remember complaining about the slant and negative bias of the judging community. I did this however, on the bus. Even now, (1$ to freelancers and barry manilow), I believe that the 77.1 we EARNED at finals was the greatest C+ I ever got. I thought then that I wanted to move on to a larger (and more competitive) corps, but I find that my heart and soul, regardless of score, lies with the Troopers. Patrick
  4. I was perusing a (not to be linked to) online media website <COUGH>youtube<COUGH>, on which I watched the Cadets performing the Holsinger ballad they did in 1993 (and more recently). I bring this up not because of the clip's existence, but merely to illustrate the rampant sarcasm which exists in our activity. The following quote is taken from the User Comments section, "I'm sorry, but with out the narration, I just don't understand this piece." WINNER. Patrick P.S. I just thought this amusing. Out.
  5. 4. Have you any professional musical experience of another sort? (e.g., composer, conductor, performer, etc.) Mildly professional...I won a $20 bar bet when I sang "Wind Beneath My Wings". I was just a shade less than phenominal. WINNER.
