  1. "Moondance" is the ballad after Kingfisher's Catchfire. it begins at about the 5:15 mark in the web-cast replay. It is a very slow arrangement. I don' think you would necessarily recognize it but once you know what to look for you do.
  2. Score are up! World Class The Cadets 78.800 Carolina Crown 77.000 Boston Crusaders 74.000 Crossmen 68.000 Open Class Teal Sound 69.700 Dutch Boy 56.100
  3. Hello, good to see you. Do we have anyone at the show that will call in scores?
  4. For the record: I don't see any posts from a "bunch of angry band moms" and I certainly do not see any angry posts and pointing of fingers from those affiliated with BAC this season. I have stated before and will state again - If the judging was harsh, BAC will bounce right back. If the judging was fair, the scores will stick. Either way, it is what it is.
  5. Here is how I am looking at this whole thing: If BAC was judged harshly by one judge last night, then they should bounce back at the next competition. If they were judged fairly, then the scores will hold. Either way, it is what it is. i just can't help looking at that re-cap and thinking that if they would have scored in Visual GE last night where they had been, the spread between 3rd and 5th place from last night's show would be significantly less, which means BAC held their ground in all of the other captions. Should be an interesting week to say the least.
  6. I decided to "sleep on it" last night, before posting so as not to react so emotionally. I really enjoyed last night's show. We were watching it with my parents and since they are by no means DCI fans, I really couldn't get into the show and concentrate on what was going on until much later in the evening (Blue Coats), so I will only comment on the the corps I was able to see in their entireity: Cadets - I don't understand what is going on down on the field. The narration does not enhance this show at all. As has been stated many times here, it pretty much causes a complete disconnect. I found myself trying to figure out how the drill and music relate to the narration through the entire show. I became completely frustrated and could not enjoy what I am assuming are great marching and drill. I would just start to enjoy what the corps was doing and the narration would begin again. Again. all of this has been talked about here - just my two cents. Honestly, I can not tell you where I think they should have placed last night, I could not concentrate on what was being judged on vs what was going on. Carolina Crown Outstanding horn line! Outstanding! - Drill had some great moments too. Other corps need to watch out, they just may sneak up on you. I just wish they would have chosen a different type of "theme" for their show this year. It is just too easy to draw comparisons from last year's show. It is "hauntingly familiar", but done very well. I think they should have placed higher than they did last night. Cavaliers As always, they delivered an outstanding visual package. Music was great (and I am sure I will get flamed for this) - I just wish the brass line played more. Loved this show! I am looking forward to seeing the finished product at finals. They deserved 1st place. Blue Knights They had some really good brass and visual moments, just lacking a "complete package" right now. I am sure as things get cleaned over the summer, we will see a different BK at the end of the season. I cannot really comment on placement because I didn't get to concentrate on the Glassmen and Blue Stars. Boston Crusaders I love the show this year, I was thouroughly entertained and there seems to be a lot of really good stuff going on down on the field. Seems to me they were one of the crowd favorites tonight. I think that this is a great show that really needs the time to be thuroughly cleaned. and polished. If executed well from all captions they could be a contender for 5th or 6th place overall. I do agreee with placement last night, but I do not agree with all of the judges. With that being said, BAC should bounce right back if it was truly some harsh judging. If it was honest judging then the scores hereafter should support that too. So folks, only time will tell on this one. Bluecoats I really like this show, I really do! I was very impressed with the both the music and the visual package. Lots of "Hey, that's really cool!" moments. I am not sure if they beat Crown last night, but again time will sort all of that out. Ican see BAC and Blue Coats going head-to-head quite a lot this year. Should be exciting to watch it all unfold. Well that's my take on it.
  7. Thanks for the zoom! Much better! You guys are doing an outstanding job.
  8. Exactly, and the bottom portion of the stands can go too.
  9. I meant just zoom in a little more to the field. Seems like it could go in a little closer. However, I am looking forward to the multi-camera web-casts.
  10. The quality on my TV is much better than on the monitor.
  11. The picture quality is outstanding. I wonder if they will zoom in a little more.
  12. I think there is something about MAC users under FAQ's on the Fan Network. I know NOTHING abut MAC's. Sorry I can't be of more help to you.
  13. Make sure you log on through Internet Explorer and not AOL. And make sure your firewall is not blocking the stream. AND maje sure you accept the Active X Controls.
  14. Nevermind..................up and running. Looks good to me!
  15. Not to beat a dead horse (someone here has an awesome picture depicting that), but no one has been able to view anything through Fan Network re: the live web-cast correct? I know last year Dan Potter always had a pre-show. Anyone know if anything like that is going on this year? I am really surprised at the total lack of information on the DCI site right now. Even with all of the problems last year we still had some information on the day of the event, and certainly more than one hour prior to the program starting. I too am getting a little nervous right now.
  16. Hey Evan! My son used to march for Springstead High School in Hernando County. I could swear we saw your band at State Finals at Tropicana Field. Was that you?
  17. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your son. And you are right, this corps is truly like family. Like I read somwhere else today, this a really special year for this corps no matter the outcome. And oh yeah, WAY TO GO BOSTON! Tomorrow night should be very interesting.
  18. Oh no! I had heard he wasn't feeling well but I had no idea. Here's lots of hugs and well wishes coming your way>
  19. Well, if the show started around 8:00 Eastern time, and there were 8 corps and an intermission, plus encore, it would just now be time for scores (give or take 30 minutes). So there is hope.
  20. If this is true, will there be any scores?
  21. Let's try this again so maybe I can redeem myself. Normal, Ill scores are up: 1 The Cavaliers 78.600 2 Phantom Regiment 76.700 3 Carolina Crown 75.400 4 Bluecoats 74.700 5 Spirit 69.200 6 Glassmen 69.000 7 Colts 68.700 8 Madison Scouts 65.600
  22. See what I mean......"BARTENDER, CUT ME OFF!!" If 'yal only knew what kind of a day I have had. You'd understand.
  23. Deleted because I totally messed up!
