  1. It is very cool to see the old pictures from manning Bowl. and the parade pictures are just as great. I grew up in Lynn, and is great to see the old buildings. what a shame it is all gone now.
  2. To add to the list MANNING BOWL CYO Finals The Mayflower Circuit The Drum Corps Mass in Boston. (really cool for back in the day) showering at any McDonalds that left the hoses out, often after a long bus ride. sleeping in firehouses, churches, as well as on gym floors, missing curfew and sleeping on the bus. having to enterain ourselves with no cell phones, computor games etc. marching on red clay in the south when your feet would turn red Everett Staduim South of the Border in the middle of the night!
  3. At 18 again, I would have made the trek to Bayonne. I live the dream now, but back in the day......that would have been amazing!
  4. I learned in 2007 not to eat the Pizza!!! let's just say it was not a good night!
  5. As you have all mentioned....too many to young. but here goes..... My Dad who supported me through every show. Cathy Collins.....Guardsmen Middlesex county Patty Gangi......Guardsmen Middlesex county Becca Karp to cancer...St Johns Beverly,MA Danielle Tarsook....St John's Beverly MA Gail Dean to cancer....one of the best people I have known. too many instructors to mention but all a great influnce to me....and a great loss to this wonderful thing we call Drum Corps.
  6. it would have to be Jean-ettes Lynn Socialites Saugus Arbella Salem marched in 2 of them.
  7. may you rest in peace and in the Lord's arms. You will be missed.
  8. she never told us all of them, she grew up in Revere and I think that she might be afarid that would would find just how bad she really was!! there was one that had a wall that opened facing the beach right down the street from Kelley's. I do beleive that it was Victor's That is still owned by the same family that owned when she was younger.
  9. yes. frozen custard! remember the mouse trap? the scrambler? I used to celebrate every birthday at the beach when I was younger. my mom used to tell us of stories about which bars she used to hang out at and which ones we shouldn't. this is great walk down memory lane!
  10. Hi Jermone, WE missed you yesterday!
  11. I grew up in Lynn and spent many Friday nights at the Beach and Kelley's. Have even showed up in a Limo! My dad used to run the shooting gallery next to the flying horses for those of you who remember what Revere beach was like back in the day! It was great to read all of this. So I guess when I am in MA this week it will be a tough choice between Kelley's and Kowloons. Can't get either in lovely CT.
  12. I also marched in 1980 with the Guardsmen in the color guard. I would love to get a copy of it. Can you give some info on where to get it? Thanks
