I mean cmon...if my cell phone can do all this crazy stuff...can't DCI?? how hard can it be? oh and as a side note...you were a Freelancer in 88/89 i see...sweet!!!! i LOVED you guys then...esp the the opener's...the note!!, went to lots of California shows as I was Stationed there. Freelancers = Louder than anyone! :)

So after watching thier show...for the 3rd time this season...I still don't get it. Yes the Guard uni is wack, although the red cover they where in the beginning could be made into something decent. looks dark and mysterious Yes the M/M is bad Yes the Olive Drab green with Red sash leaves something to be desired Yes the visual/GE needs to be better. Get that. But the Scouts have been struggling with thier identity for a few years now. Everyone should go to DCI's Fan Network and watch the following shows: 1981 - Power, Power, Power. Where is that today? Yes I know the drill back then doesn't compare to today. But that Guard is friggen AWESOME! and I'm a drummer. The Guard looks like a power guard...they are a all male Corps for a reason!...POWER!! Look at those rifles!!! I get that today's color Guard want to "look" graceful and flowing but its getting rediculous, they are not SCV or Phantom...THIS IS MADISON! They need to look like powerful men who make all the girls scream!!! Put the Guard back in vest's and Lats. (totally not trying to sound chauvinistic, promise) 1991, 1992 - City of Angles. Could be the Scouts finest shows...imo. Same as above for the guard. The drill was fast, sure could have been cleaner but wow. Horn line was loud and proud!! Drum line was awesome! AND...they look like the Madison Scouts. Big red sequin sash with matching guantlets, White hat with matching red sequins. Guard was in cool looking Gold vest's with canes. Just overall and amazing look and show for the scouts. Here are some simple fixes for madison. 1. Bring back the Jazz shows!! 2. Bring back the Attitude and Power!!!! 3. Make the Guard look powerful...stop putting them in fluffy crap. or some tights that no one gets. 4. Bring back the Company Front from the end-zone marching on the field. 5. Bring back Rifles and Flag tossing!! You don't think kids today would think that was BA?? when I let my 15yr old watch this with me last night, he said that was friggen awesome and wishes he could see that more in today's show's (a whole other topic...you wonder what's happened to DCI...Corps stopped playing for the fans and started playing for judges...pretty sure they don't pay to see you...just sayin) but most of all...BRING BACK THE MADISON SHOWS THAT EVERYONE IN THE CROWD CAN'T WAIT TO JUMP UP OFF THE STANDS AND SCREAM FOR MORE!!!! BRING BACK MADISON!!!!! (rant over)

one more thing...how about we come into 2009 and add HD and Blu-Ray. sure would look nice...esp for those ppl streaming the signal to thier 52inch HD tv's (ahem)

My feed had to be refreshed several times, esp 2nd half. audio was fine IE8. and... Like I said in the Denver post last night...DCI needs to do a few things to make this experience better. I understand stuff happens i.e. computers break, audio feed goes bad or internet lag ect. However there are 2 MAJOR things under DCI's control they could fix for next weekend. 1. - Offer 2 different webcast angles of the show. 1 high and 1 multi. Heck make it so I could open both windows and be able to switch back and forth. 2. - On the high angle shot...zoom in to the 20's unless a Corps is going out there...not too often anyone is out there. I too got REALLY frustrated by the camera angles. "ok the drum line is in a little solo and the horn/guard are doing some cool drill, ??? Zoom in on a pit player hitting the chimes" really DCI? how many times did a situation like that happen last night. oh and "zoom in on that drummer...now zoom past the surface where he's playing and hit the Yamaha logo, great job people! ok next shot" Ummm you missed the corps showing about 50 othere cool things. 2a. Get a producer and camera operators who have marched before...pretty sure they will know when not to zoom. I understand DCI wants to show "mom, Dad, Gma and Gpa thier sons and daughters up close, get that...but it KILLS the flow of the show. GIVE US THE OPTION DCI!!!!!

ok...so is it that hard for DCI to offer two different camera angles for thier webcast's? like maybe 1 full-time High Angle and 1 Multi Angle? I mean really...how hard is it. the multi angle director was killing me...just killing me

HAHA!!!! thats EXACTLY what I think...as a former scout no less...where's the POWER Guard, MASSIVE Hornline and ###### Drumline...not to mention AWESOME drill...not sure I like this Director. NOT TO MENTION BEING THE #1 CROWD PLEASER!!!!!!!!!!!! The Staff is me...you wonder why your below troop, spirit, colts ect...CLEAN IT UP!! Drill tonight was absolutley disgracefull. Everyone is screaming SHOW THE THE SCOUTS WE'RE USED TOO!!!!!!!!!! Get a Director with some balls...geez

All I know is the Colts were WAY cleaner than when I saw them 2 weeks ago...wow. They should beat the Troopers at least .5 ...and the Troopers impressed me GO SCOUTS!!
