  1. We still have Brass and Colorguard positions open. Come join something special this summer....it's not too late!
  2. Lance: I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "beefing up its numbers". We're just working very hard to re-emerge this year and to provide a great experience for our kids. BTW, we'll be in Rosalia Memorial Day weekend, and we'd love to see you there!
  3. I apologize for the delay in responding to this post....I've not kept up on DCP as much as I should. Yes, Thunder is definitely coming back in 2010. 4. The Greater Spokane Drum Corps Association is pleased to announce that, pending DCI approval, Spokane Thunder will re-emerge for the 2010 season. Thunder will return with virtually all our 2008 staff. We have also entered into a cooperative agreement with The Cascades, with a goal of promoting Pacific Northwest Drum Corps and increasing the number of participants. 2009 was a season of learning and we hope to be much stronger as a result. Look for more updates soon!
  5. Spokane Thunder will hold it's first Audition Camp December 6-7 at Mount Spokane High School. We're looking forward to the 2009 season, and we would like for you to join us! Please check our website for details (www.spokanethunder.org).
  6. As the Director of Spokane Thunder, I would first like to express my appreciation and delight with the enthusiasm, skill, dedication, creativity, and work ethic of the 2008 Spokane Thunder staff. It is true that our Board of Directors experienced some difficulty in recruiting key leadership positions from local personnel last year, but after placing an ad in Drum Corps Planet and hearing back from Nick Golding and Jeff Willis, we knew we had a winning team, and we never looked back. There were obvious logistical challenges throughout our winter and spring camps, but our BoD was determined to whatever was necessary to keep Spokane Thunder going. We don't have a billion free airline miles, and we don't have a huge fundraising program. But we do have a BoD that has not given up on the dream of fielding a Drum Corps from Eastern Washington.
  7. Spokane Thunder has open positions in all sections. If you are interested, please send an email to director@spokanethunder.org.
  8. Hey guys....I just want to say that I, as the Thunder Corps Director, am absolutely thrilled to have Nick, Jeff, Anthony, and Kris on staff. They are already showing they are true professionals, with skill and enthusiasm that I'm sure we'll benefit from. We're going to have a blast this year, and I look forward to seeing everyone in Indianapolis.
  9. Spokane Thunder is proud to announce a new staff for 2008! Nicholas Golding has joined as Arranger, Brass Caption Head, and Co-Program Coordinator. Jeffrey Willis has joined as Percussion Caption Head and Co-Program Coordinator. Nick and Jeff come to us from the Southeast, where they had great success with Teal Sound in 2006. We are excited by the skill and enthusiasm that they bring to Thunder, and we look forward to a spectacular year! Our first camp/open house is scheduled for January 19-20. The specific location will be posted on our website. Come march with us!
