  1. I am in active duty with the U.S. Air Force as an Aerospace Propulsion Apprentice. (4 year term) I'm actually awaiting to get shipped off to boot camp down in good ol' San Antonio Texas, 19 days to go! Always will love playing, always aspiring to become a better musician, hopefully make my journey back to this great activity we call drum corps! --- My brother is in the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Engineer. He played Snare and bass drum in high school band, saw an interest in drum corps but never got around to doing it, he made one of the biggest mistakes of his life, and that was to get married and have a kid, so i can't see him doing the activity in coming years.
  2. I agree with you 110%. This is by far the most challenging book I've played since I started my marching career! It's fun, playable, and catchy! Like making chili though, we have the ingredients and it's spicy, after a couple more hours of rehearsing it, we'll be ready to serve our audiences this delightful concoction. (witty eh?) I think about this show Monday - Friday. The highlight to my week is always going to be Bushwackers! I'm proud to be part of something this fresh and creative that will pop out to all viewers! That would be really cool if you could! See you soon Jerome!
  3. Yes, the book this year is definitely competitive and demanding. The work ethic from the corps this weekend was BEYOND remarkable. I love the approach people are giving out this season. I keep on getting more drum corps chills within the ensemble. Kudos to the percussion ensemble. They are on fire! I can't forget the guard. They really know how to spice up the show with so much of their energy!! We'll make sure everyone in DCA is dancing in the stands! Certainly a crowd pleaser!
  4. On top of the talented musicians that we have acquired over past months, it just makes sense! We're totally ready to blow people away next weekend!
  5. Ditto! I can't wait to see where I play those fast mello runs during the show! I smell drum corps in the air, especially if that air is New Jersey!
  6. We have such great friends and family!! Go Bush! Hey that's interesting. Maybe we should do that!
  7. If i'm not mistaken, it had rained last year too around Saturday night into Sunday morning. I remember driving up to a rehearsal the day after Harrisburg and it was just torrential downpour. (traveling into Upper Darby, into NJ) I love rain though! More of a reason to stay indoors!
  8. Ridgefield Park, my home away from home! Can't wait to play some amazing music in that commuter parking lot! I'm pumped! See you all tomorrow morning, bright and early!
  9. Best of luck to the Ghost Riders, see you there Donny Just love this activity! Mini corps rocks.
