  3. '82 for me, because that's when I got to do it! The crowd noise was insane!
  4. Any idea whether they perform before or after the competing corps?
  5. Looks like the show start time has been corrected - 6:30 p.m. ET
  6. PC will be at Terrell HS in Terrell, TX
  7. Pacific Crest - Pearsall HS, 1990 Maverick Dr, Pearsall, TX
  8. Fan, then member, then fan, now mom. My husband taught the CA Dons in '85. And, as a marching band/colorguard instructor, I am thrilled to have played a part in introducing several of the kids from our very young band program to drum corps. Including my daughter, we have 7 marching for the first time this year - it's like I have 7 kids marching. Love it.
  9. Check out '84 - '86 Avatar. In '86 (if that's the one you have) she's one of the dancing trio at the end (2 girls, 1 guy). Wow, I think it's strange that people, other than those of us who marched, would on-demand us! Cool though.
  10. We called that figure-skating move "The spin". So dugg, just wondering, have you had the joy of spinning a sickle? Sounds like it. That was a very difficult piece of equipment to use. Hurt like heck if you caught it wrong. Actually, now that I think about it, it hurt like heck even when you caught it right. I still bring it out and spin it once in awhile. Can't get any of my guard girls to toss it though - kinda' scary. And, Gavin MacLeod's daughter was one of the founding members of Avatar, marched until she aged out. You can see her in the group shot, she's right in the middle of the shot, deep lunge, arms up. Fun times! Thanks to all who posted pictures
