  2. Sorry, didn't look on the forums that much during the season and missed the posts.
  3. What an excellent season for my corps! First of all, I am excited that Sparrow Regiment pulled off its first championship for all of our corps, and in its first season in DCPI. Our A class corps, the Chicken Scouts, finished a respectable 10th. Finally, we are thrilled that the Eagles pulled themselves up to 3rd, our strongest finish in Fantasy competition since way back in the old FDCI days when we finished 2nd one year. Overall, a great year for all, and I am looking forward to next season (Hopefully I won't miss the non-live season this year!)
  4. I just wanted to point out that my corps (The Eagles, Sparrow Regiment, and Chicken Scouts) finished with a total of 14 (3+1+10 = 14). I don't know if I have an "organization" but I hate for my great seasons to be overlooked.
  5. Ok, thats what confused me because I thought it was before 4 pm. Now I know.
  6. So wouldn't that mean we'd have to change our captions the "real" day? As of 1:30 pm on Thursday, Ive not been able to change my Div 1 corps captions. I have 3 points sitting out there that I'd hate to let fly away.
  7. I am trying to remember from my previous season here in dcpi...during finals week, as we advance along from prelims to semis to finals we can change a couple captions, can't we? I seem to remember being able to do that, but I don't remember exactly. If someone could fill in the details, I'd appreciate it.
  8. Bellbrook, OH - Just in time for the DCP-I XII season, the Eagles announce their return to competitive Fantasy Drum Corps after taking DCP-I XI off. The Eagles were a founding member of FDCI and were a highly decorated corps that had been to finals multiple times, but the corps fell on hard times and had to fold. The world of Fantasy Drum Corps dearly missed this corps that always had in-your-face music and stunning visuals. After several years, the corps was brought back to life in DCP-I X for what was supposed to be a one season nostalgia tour and no one had any expectations for greatness. But the corps took off and quickly rose to the top of crop, making finals and placing 9th in its first year back from mothballs. The corps took last season off to reorganize, but is back with a vengeance this year with plans to return to its rightful place at the top of the fantasy drum corps world. Joining with The Eagles are the Sparrow Regiment and the Chicken Scouts, the Open Class and A Class corps of the Eagles organization. These corps have a track record of success as well but are making their first venture into the DCP-I circuit. Sparrow Regiment was the first Div II champion in FDCI and have often challenged many larger corps. The Chicken Scouts are known for their very small size and their very big sound. While being one of the smallest corps in Fantasy Drum Corps history, they produce sounds that corps double or triple their size cannot. The three corps have formed the Birds Of Play (BOP) organization, even though each corps is headquartered in different cities. The BOP corps will announce their repertoires at a later date, but rumor has it that each corps will be bringing back some of their "old school" favorites to please fans old and new.

  10. Not bad for my first season in DCP-I. I'll take it, even though if I would have bee able to change ONE more caption I could have gained another half point. Oh well. When does next season start?
  11. I think I picked a bad year to bring the Eagles back. Even though our semi-final score was higher than any score in the previous 4 years of DCPI, it was only good enough for 11th place. Still, we're proud to make it into finals, and with scores so close its anybody's game. I only wish we could figure out how to get to the field on time!
  12. The Eagles might not be a rookie corps to Fantasy Drum Corps, but we are a rookie in this circuit. I guess its a judgment call, but I wouldnt mind winning rookie of the year AND the Championship trophy.
  13. Hey, former FDCI member here of the Bellbrook Eagles/Sparrow Regiment/Chicken Scouts, just strolled across this here and decided to register. Probably can't get a corps in at this late stage in the game, but maybe next time. I really miss the fantasy drum corps fun. I missed out on the last few seasons of FDCI cause I got married, moved to a place with really crappy internet (24K was high speed!), and then started a family. Anyways, I remember the good ole' days of FDCI, when for the longest time I was the "Boston Crusaders" of the league...the best corps to never make finals. Then I finally broke through and finished 2nd, but never was able to win the whole thing. Its good to see the tradition continue, and some of the familiar faces. Hopefully when next season rolls around I can start up the Eagles again.
