Way to go Statesmen!!!!!!!!

Don you snuck a reply in before I posted. You know I wasn't talking about you :)

I should have taken a quick poll last night at the Scranton show as to why people like Empire! They had the biggest ovation of the night! Believe it.....it happened. I will go out on a limb and say people like Empire because they are very entertaining and love what they do. They look like they are having fun when they perform and it shows! Maybe they are not your cup of tea?? That is fine. Why do you past 3 posters feel the need to dump on them ALL the time? It really comes off as whining. There were a couple shows last night that I just "didn't get" either and what people saw in them? But guess what? I stood up for every one of those groups and applauded their efforts. One person sitting in front of me said the Statesmen show was "beyond fabulous".......I guess there was more than one Empire fan there last night :) The Cabs alumni were AMAZING!

Don.......I am only a "fan" and not an expert. I wish I was. LOL That is why I want to sit next to VOReason so he can enlighten me and teach me a thing or two about drum corps. Is Empire perfect? Of course not. But I love their show this year. They are very entertaining and the crowd has loved them at every show I have been at. I am positive that they will be ready to play come labor day weekend. Don't anybody count them out :)

VOReason......I would love to sit next to you at the ONE show you MIGHT be at. I have gone to Rochester, Hornell, Jamestown, Cicero and heading to Scranton tomorrow. Empire's show is amazing and the crowd has LOVED them at every show I have been at.

The show was awesome last night. The weather was absolutely perfect too! More of the same tonight. I loved Empire's show! My daughter is in one of the pictures that was posted earlier in this thread. She is in the cymbal line. I am so proud of her!!! Can't wait to go back tonight for the finals. Go Empire!!!!!!

Friday 80 partly to mostly cloudy, chance of a hit or miss shower Saturday 77 chance of an isolated shower, sunny and pleasant Sunday 78 bright sun and pleasant This was in this morning's Rochester Democrat and Chronicle newspaper. Looking forward to my 1st drum corps finals. I have a 15 year old daughter that marches with The Statesmen (her first year and she is hooked). Good luck everyone!!

Our weather can be very unpredictable up here. Like they say if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it will change!! Good luck everybody! This will be my first drum corps finals.
