AHEM !!! I'll take that !!!! At least for one night....

Thanks Gary, I have a feeling that the California will make finals.. just not win! I'm locked in with my submissions. I'm positive i can't finagle and more points out that score. VK and I have almost the exact same captions. SO we'll see. My only concern is how a non finals competing corps' score will be improved. As it stands. I should haver all captions in finals. The best i did in FDCI was win Div II Tokyo Tornadoes and make finals in Div 1.

Thanks, it has been a rough couple of weeks in the California Knights camp. we had a bout of the flu and then tried to put in some changes to the show. It seemed that "Loud music for Loud People" wasn't loud enough. So we contacted the people at Marshall and they came out to a coupleof rehearsals and got our corps play at "11" This has been a help for us and we hope that we can ride this energy into finals week and be an impressive rookie corps in finals.

Wow what a series of show... The California Knights have been battleling some flu like symptoms the past couple of days. But props to the Knights and VK for pulling out some great shows. Once the CA Knights get healthy (and I start watching scores again even though i'm on vacation) We'll be right back iin the thick of it. Look out.... The California Knights are looking to recapture the sword very quickly.

Congrats to the Velour Knights ...... for defeating the CA knights last night in Colorado. Although they only beat the CA Knights by .105, they played a wonderful show. I know ourt kids were worred when we saw them in the parking lot. We look forward to Topeka Kansas to have another chance for the Battle of the Knights Trophy. That is unless another Knights organization beats the Velour Knights in the mean time. Congrats to the Velour Knights...

OK here it is... The next chance for a corps to take home the coveted Sword will be on July 9, in GRand Junction, Colorado... Who will go home with the sword: will it be the Sunset Knights? The Velour Knights? or will the CA Knights reatin the sword... More to come....

I have been very impressed.... I used to compete at Dr. Butera's FDCI. His was set up very similar to this... The drop down menus... I can remember having to snag recaps at shows to give him scores... (FDCI 3 i think) Honestly, I have been very pleased... and I like the points increases and limited caption changes (3 at a time). That really adds some depth to the strategy. Very similar to real life where ytou only have so much time to rehearse. are you going to spend it on the field doing visial or completing a rewrite. Kudos to all who have written code and manipulated these boards.

No Love for the California Knights.... The CA Knights get slammed in the Power Poll, and then go and win thier 6th show in a row and post their highest score of the year. Next thing we are going to hear aboutthe inflated scores out west. Props to the Eagles for thier jump. They must have finished a major rewrite.

He is soooooo right.... I am so scared of going to full captions... also, i can remebrer in other leagues... the volitility is great. to me it makes it even harder only having 3 caption changes a week. I already want to make 4... i need to plan ahead !

The best way to look at it is very much like your Fantasy baseball team... You spend more money on pitchers b/c they can get a you a lot of points. Look at the Recap sheets to find out what captions will earn you the most points. spend more points in those captions. The lower the points per caption, the lower points you should invest. For instance... you need to realize that takeing BD for brass may give you a great brass caption... but you may suffer other places... at last years finals: BD Brass 19.70 = 9.85 Crusaders 17.50 = 8.75 Difference 1.1 points You switch them to GEVis BD 19.95 Crudaders 17.55 Difference 2.4 points Overall the difference would be 1.3 points higher if you had them slotted differently. So make sure that you remind yourself that the Music and Visual captions are cut in half to get a real score... I hope that helps. I know it would be different if you could see everyones caption changes but i'll share you mine... kinda..... My allotment of points.... Ge Captions: 33% Visual Captions: 40% Music Caption: 27% Now there is a lot of give and take and with only 3 changes per week. you have to think ahead for changes, which still allow you to make some changes later... in fact, I don't use all the points poss right now. WOW !!! After looking at the scores for the Ke'eau HI show, here are my thoughts.... IT"S CLOSE !!!! In World Class there is some separation between the Ca Knights, The Unexpected and the VK. However, most of the lower corps have taken a week off (Pac Crest, Academy, etc.) so we'll see thier scores come into the mox tomorrow night. In Open Class WOW!!! Top 4 (Star of HI, VK Too, Providence, TT) all within .23 of a point. Once again, scores from corps getting back on the field will probably determine this one. (PC, Academy, Mandarins,) In A Class 2 points separate the top 6. Anything can happen in this area. I am looking forward to this show for westen dominance.... and here are my picks... World Class: 1. California Knights 2. Velour Knights 3. El Gigante Open Class 1. Star of Hawaii 2. Tokyo Tornadoes 3. VK Too A Class 1. Catalina Crusaders 2. Inland Empire Elite 3. VK 3 All that's left is to criticize my picks and wait for the scores

Thanks for the props, The kids have been working very hard lately. we jumped over 2 points to hit the 80 mark. We look forward to taking a few days off heading out to Hawaii. I hope your kids enjoyed our home show and the In-N-Out burgers!!! We look forward to seeing you later in the season.

ACT The Corps will present thier show entitled: Living in the Era of Change featuring Music of Changes by John Cage.

Yeah... I'm sure my Drum majors will let you hold it for a few minutes... before they take it back to California!!!
