Don't you have errands to run? Nothing like beating a dead horse......must make you feel good to think you are so smart. We are all learning so much from you. Man, this DCP thing is awesome!

Well, lets see.....the weekend of June 5th when my husband and I cooked, the corps got hamburgers and brats on the grill......hmmmmm.....seeing as though I've spent many days watching practice and traveling to shows, I would say that their food is very typical to most of the Corps....."Average at best". My son personally hated the food, but welcome to the life of drum corps and it sure helped his waist line. He survived........

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ATTEND CHURCH and you don't have to wash the busses with a toothbrush either. My son is getting alot of laughs tonight. Actually, there were probablly more Sunday's this summer that the corps didn't attend Church. Me personally, I have never attended Church. I believe what I believe, but having my son attend and taking a few precious hours a week out to sit together with his friends, sunburn and all made for a nice morning. Rumor has it that the corps even gets pancakes on Sunday morning....!

Tom For crying out loud....if you support other corps why in the world are you constantly on all the Pioneer threads? If you are on all your "other" supported corps threads, it is unfortunate DCP dosn't pay by the hour. Nobody cares what or how you feel about Pioneer. We are tired of you and your negativity. It is really old......Obviously, you have a beef with someone or something about the corps, get over it and do us all a favor once and for all! We are trying to celebrate a season here and my son who just returned from a season of marching, says geez, who is this Tom Brace guy who hates Pioneer so much? Nice.......

Why comment then?

You can have the best staff in the world, but as long as Pioneer remains a "teaching" corps how does anyone expect them to move up much? Come on, having someone audition on snare and not making it and then marching baritone for the summer to give the kid an opportunity to march, the best staff in the world isn't going to make a difference. Alot of the members who march Pioneer would never have the opportunity to if Pioneer wasn't the orgainization they are. Yes, scores matter.......but watching a show come together and the result being very entertaining, is more important than coming in 17th place isn't it? 13th, 17th, 19th or 23rd by a few points whats the difference? One thing I will say is that the equipment, bussess and other internal issues need to improve......but that isn't saying it is going to help make semi's......this is merely to get from point A to B and not wasting time on the side of the road, sleeping in parking lots while all the other corps are safely sleeping on their busses going to their next destination.......

Not sure I agree with, "the same old, same old". Though Pioneer may find themselves in the bottom tier, many goals have been met this year. I do agree with some of your other statements.....but I always have to remind myself, though it is easy to forget, many of the members of this corps never picked up a flag or instrument before nor did they speak our language. Wouldn't we all agree that these kids put on the best show they were capable of putting on and it was very entertaining?! I do completely agree about the busses......enough is enough......too much time spent on the side of the road, no sleep and one would think that this should be the last season for that.! I give those kids alot of credit to put up with that and still push ahead to practice and perform. On that note, thanks Pioneer for working hard, always having a good attitude, the friendships we share and I wish the Pioneer Organization much success in the future.

Good luck in Indy Pioneer! All of your hard work has paid off......enjoy your last performance and most importantly, enjoy each other.......You all have worked so hard this summer and you put on one of the most entertaining shows of the season! Stax....you rock!

Another educated person! Now this is what I am talking about. You can say that again, trains, planes and automobiles.....life's lessons, though at the time you wonder what in the world am I doing here? There is a reason, and you are right....it doesn't matter the place you take, it is the obstacles you face and conquer that make you winners! Pioneer, you should be proud!

Ed: The kids had an excellent practice....the best all season and they are staying overnight so they will certainly catch up on their sleep. It has been a rough week, but they figure it out and all with a smile!? Enjoy Quarterfinals......you will be very pleased what you see.

Class.....thanks! The Corps appreciates positive feedback and Carolina Crown.....I've been blown away since their "Triple Crown" Performance a few years back (or at least that is what I think the name was). You know what I am talking about.....now that was amazing and they continue to be!

Well Michael....I've been to many shows this year and Pioneer has received several standing ovations throughout their show! More than most of the Corps performing! So, Pioneer doesn't need or want your respect. We don't need it! News for you......your outlook on winning is strange at best......Kids today what? Come on.....now your an expert on parenting? I'm officially done responding to you...keep your thoughts to yourself.......and I personally cannot wait to see Pioneer perform in Indy......Best of Luck Pioneer.
