  1. The word is out... it's officially Tom Peashey's birthday! Look for a blinding light in the Northeast tonight. It will be the candles on Tom's birthday cake! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TOM!! May you have many more! Bruce
  2. Another sad loss. I wish that I had know that Jeff was living in Dallas. I made regular trips there when I was living in Houston. Jeff blended right in, immediately, when he joined the Crusaders. That says a lot about him. He was very likable, and I feel fortunate to have known him. My heartfelt condolences to Laurie, to the rest of his family, and to all of his friends. RIP Jeff! Bruce
  3. I would go with the experienced "Mainer", who is used to the "wicked cold" , and use mouthwash. Regular Listerine has 5.3% more ethanol than the flavored varietes. So, when it's a balmy 34 degrees, you might be able to go with a flavored variety. Regular rubbing alcohol is likely to evaporate, leaving nothing to lubricate your valves. Ciao!
  4. QUOTE (donincardona @ Aug 26 2009, 04:12 PM) * that's right jeff........they can't win without a #1 drumline. funny how we could all read music. tongue.gif (and some of them couldn't shutup.gif ) Don and Jeff, As a horn-line instructor, it was a real challenge trying to teach those who played by ear. The major advantage of having "musicians" who can read music is that you can make the necessary changes much faster. Those who read well made the changes, and took it onto the competition field. Those who could not would try to fly by the seat of their pants. That NEVER works! I think that the days of learning by rote are slowly disappearing. At least I hope that's the case! Ciao! Bruce
  5. There was also "MEATBALL", but "PORKCHOP" was Vince's standard. I think that it was all of the scatter drills. It even messed with his head! Very nice to see my old friends on this site! Ciao! Bruce
