This is strictly an opinion question, if you aren't sure or if you have an answer, then go ahead and comment =)

This video is my high school from a couple years ago, they've always been good but I'm judging this from a brass players standpoint So, any comments as far as the percussionists go? it's been awesome that we've been blessed with one of the best percussion techs (Craig Spangler) they've seldom lost at least in the upper midwest, iowa/south dakota/minnesota/nebraska region Post some of your high school line if you have it :) or of the best ones you've seen

What Are The Best Brass Instruments?

(Well I know the Stars use Kings, and Phantom uses Jupiter, that's what I know for sure) What about Bach? It is merely a dream but they are really really nice horns as far as trumpets go... but that would mean you'd need to intermix brands (that my be an issue) if a corps had the money for a full set.... *whistles -
none yet? :/

I previously posted this on the Blue Stars' forums and I thought heck why not get help from a few drum corps friends who might be curious about the same thing? Well, I just realized that I've had this same movie wallpaper from The Dark Knight for .... well ages, since before the movie came out (almost a year? maybe more?) sigh.. Sooo... does anyone know of a place where I could get access to a Drum Corps Wallpaper for my desktop? (specifically a Blue Stars one, if not a DCI Wallpaper would work just fine) (Are there others looking for the same thing perhaps as well???)

:P haha I'm pretty sure Frank is just looking for a solid lead player, there may be a vet not returning or something of the sort and that may have been the issue, as for the timpani player, well that's pit and I'm hornline so I don't know for sure In any case, we've gotten 3 parts to Houdini so far and I love all 3, they have incredible potential, I can already see that they are going to rock when the music is perfected as far as the visual standpoint goes... well let's say I can tell we are going to be whipped into shape by august
-
I can be safe to say that, without giving any information away that this show is going to rock :D the music is amazing The camp went incredibly well and I'm going to have to start working out for sure (otherwise spring training is going to be killer) and keep up on that personal visual practice (AHHH!!!) If you had an epic January camp experience, share it (whether it from your corps or a comment about the stars)
-
-_- give it a chance dude, once you hear it, you might like it
-
FAUST! Sorry Crown, I like you but people forget how epic this show was

Based on quality of sound, but wayyyyy too expensive? Bach Stradivarius ^^ one can dream right? -
Booya! Go Blue Stars!

yeah, I've struggled with this too from time to time, (whether it be at a corps camp, or during marching band) it does get hard to get used to at first, but I'm sure once those muscles build up it will get easier

Privacy in Corps? Or lack thereof?

wow what a small world, Jordan I believe you are my best bud's cousin (Alex has told me about you being in pioneer) -
Well I can confirm that the Blue Stars did have 300+ (at least) at the audition camp - yes I was there, the staff was telling us the numbers AND I also got contracted a spot in the corps

A brief lesson in GE from a barbershop choir
JF154283 replied to Michael Boo's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Incredible! The balance was very good, and is a lesson to all corps (starting with a good foundation from the bass to the soprano) but I INSIST that ALL you guys take a look at this!!!!!!!!!!!! It is by far the best balance I've seen -
I know part of Houdini is composed by Phillip Glass and arranged by Frank Sullivan (brass caption head)
