I auditioned for a G8 corps, called called back and got accepted, but I never really enjoyed the expierience or the camp. Before signing the contract I went to several more camps after that one to make sure this really was for me, that the corps I was doing would be enjoyable. I did feel like just a number, just a dot. I ended up informing the staff I would not be marching that corps and I never looked back.
The ring isn't the most important part of DCI like alot of people think. Just have fun, enjoy yourself. That's what matters. In the end, when you get that DvD and you're sitting at home watching it the score isn't what's going to matter. You won't think of the show on the field, but the memories you made with friends off the field.
