In 1961 St. kevins emerald knights were asked by their spiritual director, Fr. Kierce to be a part of a new singing contest sponsored by the Boston CYO. In the begining we were only going to do this because of Fr. Kierce. Then we started to reherse and found out that this was fun. We won the contest for the next few years and then the CYO stopped it because nobody could beat us. We always enjoyed singing and to this day St. Kevins Senior corps still does sing. If you come to the GAS show in Quincy Mass. next weekend you will see a number of corps performing and singing ..........Jim

Rich, on behalf of the ST. KEVINS quartet, we wish to thank you, the Skyliner organization, and the officers of your VFW post for all your help on Friday night and Saturday. It was quite a thrill to perform before some of the ELITE of drum corps. All the corps that performed were great eapecially The Skyliners,. quite impressive. Dick I know how far up Fort Kent is. I sold chain saws and construction equipment in northern New England for many years and one of our accounts was in Fort Kent. Are you from MAINE? There was a french horn player from the Andrew Sabres in Portland with the same name. He was in the class of Buzzy Bergdoll.
