  1. Okay, so guitars are distracting from a drum corps show in your opinion, correct? Then you must not like Bluecoats or Blue Stars 2010? They both had guitar sounds in their shows. They just had a synth player play it instead...
  2. http://www.arizonaacademy.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=5&Itemid=94 Academy has announced their 2011 show concept.
  3. Okay, so any specific exercises you would recommend on this subject? Just regular marching fundamental things like 8 steps foward blahblahblah? Or maybe some other exercise that has worked well for you
  4. Hello, I'm a brass and visual tech at a local high school in Florida. When I taught at the school last season, we harped technique and they did fairly decent with it. (Straight leg approach). But I did happen to notice a fair amount of phasing and out of step across the board. When I start the season out this year, do you think I should harp being in step first or start with technique??? Obviously, I know this is high school and you are going to have kids that just dont get it but what do you think would make the group succeed the most? In Step and trying to throw in technique later in the season or vise versa? Thanks to all who reply. This is helping me become a better teacher :)
  5. Teal Sound says they will be doing Judith by A Perfect Circle. And Blue by A Perfect Circle. More titles to come I'm sure.
  6. Also, gives a pretty nice description of the show design. And if you notice, thats A LOT of brass there. Id say probably 80 or so. Nice!!!
  7. Music playing is Judith by A Perfect Circle. Played the Vitamin String Quartet. Also mentioned, Blue by A Perfect Circle is being played by Teal Sound this summer. Comments??
