BK is gonna finish Top 6 in Music this year, calling it now. Not sure I'd get the show concept without the pyramids on the field, but oh well.

But that was actually part of the piece that Crown played. It was in the source music, which is why it made sense in context. This was slapped on top of the music that was there, and works far less as a result.

I was expecting a storyline show like last year, especially with the soundtrack pieces used like Academic Festival Overture (Animal House) and Keating's Triumph (Dead Poet's Society). Maybe some humor or charm that they've brought the last few years. I didn't get anything out of this. This show needs a serious retooling if they want to even be in sniffing distance of Finals.

Thing is... last year Bloo really didn't add anything from Premiere to Finals. Everything was fleshed out and locked in from the first show, and it hurt them at the end of the long run. I normally agree with the sentiment that this phrase is just a myth, but it came to fruition last year, certainly.

This is nothing like Tilt. Tilt was a concept that was tacked on to a bunch of music the designers liked. The last two years have felt like actual, fleshed out concepts.

The way Bloo does electronics is so stupidly tasteful and I love every second of it.

I'm feeling this more than the Detroit show, but something still seems... off. I think, for me, the concept isn't flowing at the same rate the music and drill are. I'm not getting the story as much, and am getting much more "Crown being Crown" stuff. IDK.

I mean, I get the color choices and they're smart in terms of the theme, but it unfortunately gets lost on a green football field. It would look great on an indoor floor, though.

God, I wished the teal guard unis and orange tarps/props didn't make the entire visual package kinda melt together. I think we're in for a year-long dogfight between them and Crossmen.
