  1. Just so you are clear.... No one is hating! There seems to be a plethora of overly sensitive corps directors who worry what somebody is saying about them, when no one is speaking ill of their corps in any form, fashion, or manner. Personally, I just wanted to know what new corps were coming out this year. Nobody said a word about knightfire that deserved anyone from knightfire coming on the forum and tell everybody to stop the proverbial "RUMOUR MILL". If you are making reference to me about my drum corps experience I have been involved in the drum corps activity as marching member, staff member, corps management, volunteer support staff, volunteer driver, etc. for the past 30 years... Thanks!
  2. Yes, I am a liar and an awful human being for picking up that your ad on the open class forum did infer that you were coming out and had been approved... FACT: this is the open class forum not SDCA... FACT: you are going on tour as part of the Racine Scouts... really it's not important. in the grand scheme of things.... Like I said earlier SORRY I got where I got the inference (me got the inference, not that you inferred it) from reading something on DCP. I clearly clicked the link to your website from the DCP advertisement you had for members and forgot where I saw it... I wish you and your organization much success on and off the field
  3. GOOD FOR YOU!!! BEST OF LUCK ON THE FIELD!!! HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!!
  4. From the Arkansas Thunder Site on Facebook: Amber Elizabeth Greetings All ~ I'm sure you all have been anxiously waiting for the results.... I won't hold it in any longer ~ Sorry to inform you that you will have to put up with me more..... hehe BECAUSE, ARKANSAS THUNDER IS NOW a member of DRUM CORPS ASSOCIATES ;) It was great being able to meet most of the members! Please do not take it personally if I do not remember all of your names when I see you at the MN shows! Please continue to maintain the work ethic that I had seen at the rehearsals! Trust your directors, staff, support staff, they will take this organization to new levels! Enjoy what shall be the ride of your life ;) If there are any questions that you may have through out the season, please feel free to contact me! I am here to guide you to success! Hope you have a successful and dry Memorial Day Weekend camp, and a great summer! Amber
  5. Every Corps that I have ever been associated with let you put money on account with the corps and they would dole it out once a day to those who needed it.
  6. and for God's sake make sure you get a blow up bed and bring it on tour!
  7. Guess I got that inference from this which was posted here on DCP Posted 24 May 2011 - 01:07 PM (#13) KnightFire D&B Corps Knightfire Drum and Bugle Corps will be on the field this year and is in need of members in every section. www.knightfiredrumcorps.org May 24th date would tend to make one believe you have been approved for tour.... sorry I missed the exact place I got the inference that you were going on tour
  8. so where is this rumour mill? Your website says you have been approved for Open Class... and apparently from what you just noted above... you are combining with the Racine Scouts for this season. Sounds like facts and not a rumour mill to me.
  9. I know of KnightFire and that's it.... I figured there were a least a couple more though
  10. Just wondering if there is a list of the new corps that have been approved by DCI to tour this year... anybody???
  11. I think you are definitely right about Music City... Lots of good stuff appears to be going on there!
  12. That is PURE CLASS!!!! Thanks for posting!
  13. Don't think I have ever heard a corps play "A Prayer of St. Patrick" by Rutter.... not even Pioneer.
