  1. Phantom Regiment, Words cannot express what this corps means to me. If it weren't for the Regiment, I wouldn't be here. Having been a member, though for a short time, has meant everything to me. Thank you for all you do and everything you stand for. Thanks Dan and all the instructional staff for everything you do. Thanks to all the management for continuing to make the Regiment the world class organization that it is. It gets better every year. Thanks to all the volunteers who keep the corps going. I sold souvies for 2 years so I know all the hard work that you do. Most of all, thanks to the current, past, and future members who keep the tradition of excellence and class, and ensure the continuing existance of the greatest corps to march on the face of the earth. I love you all. SUTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have phaith
  2. The photo you are linking to has already been discussed on here. Yes that is a proper technique. It is for a beautiful music effect, similar to 1991 in Pagliacci when the horns never face the audience. If you could see more than one hornline member in the pic, you would notice that they all are the same. So try a better example. Oh and yes I'm sure he could.
  3. I too was lucky enough to have a friend call me from dress rehearsal. What can I say? It was amazing. I had goosebumps just hearing over the phone. I can't wait to see it live. After hearing it, I bought a plane ticket to see SoS. WOW!!!!!!
  4. thought that sounded like something Ben would do.
  5. Would that be Bajcz?
  6. ummm... that's interesting since Regiment doesn't go up against Madison until June 18.
  7. My single favorite is from the end of Regiment's 1989 show when the sopranos restate the theme from the beginning of the finale. They're standing in a diagonal line with the low brass marching directly toward them. Then the full hornline blows the stadium apart. I love that. Michael Oldemeyer Pure Power

  9. With my guard, I use nothing shorter than 6'. 7' is what i use most of. All of my poles are weighted. It makes for a slow band camp because of the weight, but pays off in the season. My girls say they wouldn't have it any other way. I prefer the larger pole sizes because you get more bang for your buck. Little flags, if not proportioned correctly, tend to look like a paper towel on a telephone pole. As for flag sizes on each pole size, this is what I use. 5' - 30"x 48" 5.5' -33"x 52" 6' -36"x 56" 6.5' -39"x 60" 7' -42"x 64" 10' -78"x 120" to 114"x150"
