My idea needs a little fleshing out too, but something where the audience votes to send a non-finalist corps to perform at finals might encourage lower-scoring corps to engage the audience. Jersey Surf 2012 comes to mind.

Mouthpieces are not meant to be interchangeable, as they change the embouchure of the player (which will only impede the musician's ability to play). It can take months to years of playing to fully transition from one mouthpiece to another, and changing them around in the middle of a show would not have a desirable effect. If you want a different sound, there is a wide range of ornaments that can be used (flutter tonguing, triple tonguing, scoops). However, they seem to be less common as corps desire a specific sound from every player - and they are resorting to synthesizers for musical effect.

Bocook wrote At Dawn They Slept, one of my favorite concert band pieces of all time. I hope he revisits this piece and modifies it for the Cadets.

Hey guys, Tomorrow's Allentown show will be the first DCI show I'll be going to in person. I'm interested in knowing the policies for taking videos and pictures. I see quite a few videos on YouTube, but I know this is frowned upon. Is it okay to take videos of the corps and use them for my personal, non-commercial use? Thank you!
