Tilt was so much better then expected! Very visual show but the payoff was perfect. Props used very well, synth used in better ways then I thought. I can actually say I want to see how they progress this summer.

Well I put my helmet on and went on a journey alright. My lord the Horn line is incredible. Matt Harloff is a god among men. What he can do to these young adults and mold their abilities into perfection like this is just astounding. I had to pick my jaw up off the stands. Basically clean up on aisle me. BD better being their A game... Time for Bluecoats - Tilt And get ready for ALOT of orange!

Cadets Promise: An American Portrait Soooooo much narration. SO. MUCH. NARRATION. It's like they decided to make a show around the über American in all of us. Besides that, the brass was fantastic. I hope another top 3 for that horn line. But really, this show is basically a narration of a 10th grade history book with a sound track. Want to win GE, Cadets? Have Morgan Freeman narrate. BOOM

We are all making jokes about her in my section. She is SOOOO bad.

Phantom with that power ballad and uniform challenge was fantastic. I really like their show this year. IMO they shouldn't drop below 6.

Well that was weird

BAC was overall a good performance. I enjoyed the music but I don't see how it fits with the theme though. Again, it was a great show for it being their first. I keep telling myself it's June and things will change. Phantom is up next with Swan Lake!

Madison scouts rocked it! Great to see the Dress Whites in action. High brass of course couldn't hold towards the end but at the at of the season I'm positive it will be fantastic! The only question I have is what was the point of the color guard member in the grey zig zag suit doing the diagonal slow walk across the field? He only did a back hand spring and then continued to walk across the fueled slowly until he reached the corner of the right end zone. I've very confused. Any answer to it? BAC is up next. Animal Farm is the show. Let's see how it goes.

The cavaliers were INCREDIBLE! The theme of the show was nice, the brass was powerful, and what more can you say about the front ensemble?!?! Using the instruments as props and then putting the marimbas in a circle and running around the inside playing them blew me away. Great job Cavies! I'm thinking top 6 this year is in their eyes. Madison Scouts up next doing the music of Stan Kenton. Sounds like a lot of high brass should be featured. I have been really looking forward to this show.

Rhythm in blue was really nice. Great to see an alumni corps kick off Akron. Cavaliers are up next and they are setting up and their front ensemble is set diagonally onto the field. It's my first time seeing them so let's see what they do with it!

I'm playing cornhole outside the stadium and all I hear I brass then all of a sudden SYNTH SYNTH SYNTH SYNTH. Spoiler, it's a Bluecoats show. The guy who runs the synthesizer needs to get paid more.

Me and 5 other people are on our way to Akron right now! We have our DCI cornhole boards ready (BD, Crown, SCV, and phantom logos. All hand painted). Anyway here are my last minute score predictions Crown: 74.10 Cadets: 73.85 Bluecoats 72.45 Phantom: 71.70 Cavaliers: 71.50 Boston: 69.70 Madison: 68.10 Having that full panel tonight will help all corps. I will be live blogging tonight as much as I can and as much as my phone battery will let me.

I checked last night and it was still 7:30. So it will hopefully have started to cool down

I can't wait for tonight! I predict that the cadets edge crown one more time.
