check site. after watching it several times...it's amazing how much they got better then when I saw them live in Bentonville last Monday....the ballad ending is epic....I assume they'll add a lot more technical stuff to the closer. They usually don't add the crown until Nightbeat....right? Anyways...they look so clean....and yet it's the visual marks that the need to really improve on. But they can still medal with the show..along with taking the Ott...and I'm really into this aggressive drumline they've got going on.

Brass is back on top...they get that GE score up...anything could happen

Music City caught me off guard...soooo good. Wasn't expecting that to start things off with. One of the players family//friends was in the stand a few rows ahead of me...they had a huge cut out of his face they waved around for everyone to see...that was funny. Guardians were really good too....glad they took the spot of intermission...didn't have to sit around and wait for the next corps to play like usual. There were some really awesome moments in Crossmen...I thought they were a bit better than Phantom...be I see Phantom scored higher...I guess that's why I'm not a judge... Crown...amazing...as always...so happy they didn't cover up their brass with singing this year. They made a lot of positive changes that I noticed a lot of people have been complaining about. A strong medal contender, as well as winning the Ott and Sandford. IMO. I think the guard guy had to abort halfway once he jumped onto the rocker....like he slipped ...unless they changed it on purpose he should slid all the way from one side to the next...but the humidity and rain might have made the rocker slick...if so...was a smart move to abort...coulda fallen and broken something otherwise.

Just got home from Besntonville... They were on fire! omg...lol....right up there with Relentless. The power....The changes they made to the ballad and to quite a bit of what a lot of people have been talking about, have really enhanced it all. It's definitely a medal contender. Dunno if it makes sense but I think movement before the ballad was a bit too busy....too many things happening at once. And I still don't like the flags' with the ropes/cords they use in the ballad. Other than that....awesome! The uniforms look really neat, but if they're off just a bit in some way, it makes them stand out more and makes it look a bit dirty. So much better than It Is imo. Oh...lol...it had rained and stormed just before the competition started, and the humidity was already high in the air...the guard guy who was suppose to jump on the rocker slipped and had to abort when he was only halfway on it...smart move...woulda been awful if he had slipped and broke a bone or something.

Looking at future cast, the rain and storms move out of the area right around 6:30....ish.

I never even noticed that until someone pointed it out on youtube.. ..I tell you...that player must have been in agony for the rest of the night...well....the player might have felt hopeful when they took Ge...but then when BD was announced 2nd...the relief he musta felt...lol...But I was there...the energy Crown gave during that run that won them the title..well...I had a feeling they got it....but then I had a feeling they won in 15'. But I wasn't there in person so I guess it was just hopeful thinking. .Anyways...

I'll never turn away from Crown...I there at finals in 2013 when they won. An experience I'll never forget. I wasn't happy when they covered up their brass for over half of last years show, but stuck by them. So this years better already...at least to me.

I'll see them in Bentonville tomorrow evening. So excited.

Not bad tonight Crown...looks like the brass had an off night though. Glad to see they outscored Boston in GE.

I don't think you have to worry about that.

I think San Antonio was the turning point in 2015. It's very possible. Their brass is tops, and for once, their percussion is in the top three so far...I wouldn't count them out at all

I bet they'll add more of that in late season...they didn't do the pulling the members back under the veil in 2015 till mid to late season. That's when things really started to ramp up in GE...the fans went nuts for it when they first did it. If they do something along those lines later this summer ..

They didn't pass Bluecoats last year until Broken Arrow.

When was it that they finally got it all on the field in 2015? They didn't have it in mid July when I saw them in Arkansas.

They were really good, but they seemed a bit off tonight. Opening night jitters maybe. I imagine once they clean it and add the back end of the show...who knows. It's a much more fan friendly show than last year for sure.

I've heard comments of disappointment in how Crown plays Blow It Up Start Again.....that it sounds dirty, and is too simple...well...that's how it's suppose to sound...at least the dirty part. fits right in with the theme.. To me, that ballad makes me think of the 50's and 60's.

Looking through their pictures they post on facebook everyday it occurs to me that it looks like there is a lot of older kids...they must have had a large group of veterans that came back from last year. Just an observation and I may be wrong.

I felt the same for Inferno...at least for the first half of the season or so. Once they got that closer finished and added those tweaks and movements down, we saw what happened.
