I think everyone, that doesn't speak Dutch, who visits our site knows English... So for the moment we keep the two languages. If anyone speaks another language than Dutch or English, wants to volunteer to translate and thinks a lot of people that speak that language would visit our site, you can contact me.

I'm webmaster of Kameleon Percussion (www.kameleonpercussie.be) and our site is in Dutch (the official language in Belgium) and English. My question is: in how many and in what languages does an international site have to be? Only in English, only in the official language, English and the official language, all the official languages (we have Dutch, French and German in Belgium), ... ? Post your thought!

That's cool, thanks :) . I'm registered now. BTW: can you change some things in the language files? I found an error: "Ingelogt als: " should be "Ingelogd als: " with a d :) .

Short movie clips from DCE championships 2003
Thomas replied to Smudge's topic in International Corps Forum
Well, Marco, it's cool that all the corps are online. Maybe - if I have money - I'll order the video. I wasn't planning to buy it, but now I see the clips, it's worth the money. -

I just watched Jubal, maybe the other corps tomorrow. Dudes I love that show! It was really crazy to see it life. -> That would cost a lot of money, but it would be cool B) . (and DCE finals are late September, so it would be one year later) -
Well, I can, and it's very sad news :( . the reasons: There are many factors that played a role to cancel the trip. They have made 6 international trips the last 10 years and they were all succesful. The financial risk is too big. :( :( It's a good thing I'm going to Denver, so I can see them all :P , but it would have been cooler if they would have come to Europe.

Where did you hear/read that?

DIO drum & bugle corps (Dordrecht) keeps the 2003 program: - The Plaza of Execution (opener) - The Mask of Zorro (ballad) - Battle of Drums (drumsolo) - Malagueña (closer) Tough the program is the same, the music will change. -

Jong Beatrix, Hilversum (Cadets corps of Beatrix' drum & bugle corps): The music of James bond: - James Bond theme - Other James bond songs -
Jubal played on some contests, some with division I, some with division II/III. I think DCI made an exception for them. They are on the CD of DCI 2002 div II/III finals. But they didn't play on any finals.

corps I've seen: Beatrix' (2000 -> Bandshow in Ostend) Jubal (2002 -> Bandshow in Ostend & 2003 -> DCE finals) Starriders (2003 -> DCE finals) Kidsgrove Scouts (2003 -> DCE finals) If I would answer the first question (Best Corps) it would be Kidsgrove Scouts, it was a very nice and clean show. And the part that surprised me the most was that a lot of young people marched. But If I'd answer Coolest Corps ever seen it would be Jubal, I really loved their show on DCE finals 2003. A really COOL show, crazy brass solos and a lot of power!

correction: Beatrix' 2004 Jubal 2006

They picked Drum Corps International because... They first wanted to choose "Drum Corps USA" or something like that, but the guys from Canada sayd: "What about us?" so they simply made it "Drum Corps International".

Cadets are not comming to Europe in 2004
Thomas replied to BariSaege's topic in International Corps Forum
Thanks Oliver. Well if I read the 2004 Audition Information of the Blue Devils and I scroll down to "Program Fees" there is a part called "$700.00 Aprox. Europe Trip Cost". According to this, I'm quite sure Devils are coming over. -
Yeah a friend of mine ordered a DVD of Santa Clara Vanguard and he waited months for it... On the DCE finals, he just bought 2 DVDs and he only had to wait 2 minutes. Everything should to go like that, it's much easier.

I didn't receive that newsletter and I can't find it on yea.org. Could you forward the newsletter to thomas@kameleonpercussie.be? Thanks -
Like Oliver says, it was a stand of "High Brass" (NOT a corps) selling DCI products. A friend of mine bought 2 legacy collection DVDs. URL of DCMerchandise: http://www.dcmerchandise.com/. '-> you can order DCI and WGI stuff on this website (that guy was there with High Brass)

Well, there are videotapes (PAL) and CDs, but I don't know if there will be any DVDs. Some videoclips can be found on http://drumcorps.org.uk/. But it isn't the same level in Europe. Jubal ended up 14th in DCI div II/III in their USA tour 2002...
