  12. hey Bill! actually its been kinda half and half and a work in progress. We purchased some new horns, some members own them, and we borrowed some. As we move along we are purchasing horns so that we own all that we need. they're just not the easiest horns to find!!!!

  15. one of the first orders of business when we started the bridgemen corporation was to trademark Bridgemen® and Bridgemen drum and bugle corps®. This ensures that no one can even use our name without our permission. It goes so much further than copyright protection.
  16. wow...finally something to match my lower body ^0^
  17. thats because I'm a line player.... I'll have to speak to those two about overblowing and sticking out!! :P
  18. cool! yeah I love the sound as well.. We decided to carry baris for parades and the euphs for all other gigs. Two of our leads are a little "small" for the horn but they'll get there!! :P
  19. I told you we'd do it someday Chris! :P it just took longer than expected. as for carrying it? Hey I'm 240 pounds.... whats an extra pound or two??? :P
  20. well we seem to have some real talent on lead. Yeah the intonation problems are well known... we are dealing with it though. The nice part is with 8 leads we can back off the "power" and concentrate on playing well. The volume will come from the amount of players and the fact that the horn does put out all on its own. The real nice thing it does is bring the leads back down with the 2,3,and 4ths. We started to sound too much like the mid range. lets face it... low brass is what makes a line sound awesome!!!! so the lower you can get it.... the better!!!
  21. so our 8 lead baris are now on euphomiums. We did it to try and darken the top of our low brass and take some of the brightness out..... besides some of the juniors, does anyone else do this?
