  1. Each corps in the TOC has different ensemble performance tasks so that's why there's an agreed to performance order
  2. I don't understand why you always call for staff changes.I'm as well a part of the family and I'm happy and content that crown has been on the right track and keeps putting out amazing shows.I think we can all agree that the brass program has been impressive year after year. I think that you are jumping the gun to call out the Drums and Color guard Captions. Every since the arrival of Lee Beddis in 07 you can't say that the drum caption at crown has been weak or suffering, it's considerably been running with the top 6 lines 07 - present. As for the Color guard it has for many years been the corps strongest caption. I know that crown has had a few different guard caption heads in the past. The guard has still been consistent near the top even thru the changes. As far as visual goes "if it aint broke dont fix it" if you want to change a visual program I'd say there are other corps with far more serious problems in that department. The visual program has been consistently strong the last thing you want to do is to completely shake up and change staff. Last,I think you don't appreciate some of the work Leon has produced on the field. I think think that every caption you want to change is in no need of change.
  3. I also don't understand why Crown's show is being considered cheesy? I think that we have become so analytical in corps show to out right call it cheesy, I think you got people that really want to like this show but afraid to buy into it and I'm not saying you have to like either but DCImonkey really hit it on the head of just some of the things corps have done to sell their show: fight club the one handed wave and play Narration playing tenor drums upside down doing push-ups on the field wearing funny makeup wearing blindfolds while playing roto drums doing heel clicks magic tricks Chairs and mirrors acting like horses LIVE OR DIE going down on one knee and extending the other Bicycles Tires handcuffs killing drum majors beat-boxing into a microphone and calling it drumming Red queens, and bunny rabbits and jumping off pink benches Cancer chicks on radio shows moments of silence so our fans can yell our name PVC houses scaffolding Slow-motion photo finish Elephant suits making the phantom disappear just a short list we can look back and really access that "cheese" is just GE at moments in shows, I think that we've all been to a Rock concert but I haven't been to one where people just sit on their hands; just like going to a Major Sporting event at some point the play Queen's "We Will Rock you" it's very universal and it's to get the crowd engaged in what they are watching and Carolina Crowns pre-show requires some audience participation it's a Rock concert!(crazy dance body, crowd surfing, ridiculous drumline) It would be very cool and fun if the whole audience was doing (stomp, stomp, clap) during the pre-show.
  4. I stand to be corrected but 6/18/2011 is the first time "head to head" that Carolina crown has beat Blue Devils in corps history.
  5. I don't think you can really sit here blame DCI or Crown, they did the best job given the situation.
  6. IDK, their drums are going to be sick nasty this summer, I'm pretty excited for the season progress in this caption
  7. graham crackers and vanilla and/or Chocolate frosting! no it's not a meal but it make for one heck of a snack after a long day.
  8. they both have amazing volunteers that clean them on a regular basis, I know crown had two sets of bibs for 2009, 1 for turf /1 for grass fields/wet fields.
