  1. HAHAHA! Drum major salute for the ages. "oh its like phantom!...uh nope!"
  2. I remember at the Ft. Wayne show in 2015 when Louisiana Stars came on and the crowd was all "aw...open class" then they made their opening hit and "OH MAN! This is only their second year?" They're really growing this group well.
  3. Alright Louisiana Stars up next. Haven't seen them but "Featuring music of Bonerama, Daft Punk, Jacob Collier, Knower, Panic! at the Disco, and Snarky Puppy" has me interested.
  4. Buh? RCR has been scoring 10th according to DCP's rankings thinger. (don't forget to take out BDB and SCVC when looking at those.) But yeah, this is great entertainment for even the "lower half" of finals
  5. RCR. Wow their percussion, as it typically is. But they're getting that Brass to develop nicely too now. This is a group with a bright future
  6. RCR is doing A Day in the Life next. What's up with everyone doing the Beatles all of a sudden? Did their catalog become available just recently?
  7. I've got a TV with a Roku built in and it's worked fantastic. As did dad's.
  8. Oh right. This is the group early on I liked their lower voice treatment of the solo for Fly to Paradise. I don't think their full show was on the field yet last time I saw them. Looking forward to the Verdi.
  9. Shadow felt a bit short. I wonder if that's what's impacting their scores? Or just a lack of head to head. If that show is this far down the ranks, we've got some great entertainment on hand tonight.
  10. Back from the store just in time for Golden Empire. [checks the Buffalo thread....nope nope nope] Back here!
  11. Great show Shadow! Seems a bit short, but a very complete design. [now for a mad dash for some food to have on hand for the night...]
  12. This is a pretty complete show visually too. They're doing a lot more. If this is the cutline for finals, then yeah, it may be more clear than the 'recent scores' line indicates. Open tends to move a lot when they all finally meet up. Crazy to think that if BDB and SCVC were here, this might not make Open finals?
  13. From what I can tell score wise, Heat Wave/Shadow is the battle for OC finals? Then the groups after the break are the big cluster that could see some major ordinals shuffling.
  14. Looking at their staff page real quick, they've got a lot of successful small indoor and HS experience teaching these kids. This show works so well. It's a smart decision to go for a 'story show' for a small corps I think, it gets a lot of impact and ties the cohesiveness together.
  15. Effective opening with Nature Boy. Didn't expect to ever say that...heh.
  16. As DrumManTx mentioned, the smaller size forces more creativity for the smaller groups. For the larger groups, there's more freedom to innovate it seems as the 'risk' isn't there of a show that bombs and sets back the corps unduly. I can't imagine a big time WC corps taking a risk like Guardians did with their Kayne West show awhile back. But we see some of the things that OC corps innovate adopted in to WC after they've been proven to be something the judges won't reject out of hand.
  17. Pro tip; The app has a bug. If you're quoting a post that has a quote in it already, it'll clip what you add. I'm not there in person but ready for them on Flo!
