The Connecticut Hurricanes announced at their open house the title of their 2011 show - "Gershwin: Old, New and Blue". Which follows an earlier announcement of exploring the music of George Gershwin. From a recent Hurricanes release! The Connecticut Hurricanes wish to remind everyone that their 2011 season will kick off on Sunday, November 28th with their open house/first rehearsal. The event will be held at Sacred Heart University, 5151 Park Avenue, Fairfield Ct. from 10-5. The Hurricanes have used this excellent facility for a good portion of their winter rehearsals in the past and are excited to be returning there for their open house. The corps has announced that they will be exploring the music of legendary composer George Gershwin and promise a fan friendly show that will be familiar and pleasing to all. Many changes have already been announced in the design team and educational instructors as the Connecticut Hurricanes start preparation for the 2011 competition season. All prospective new members as well as returning veterans are encouraged to be there and help raise the storm warning flags to a higher level. Go and see what is in store for "the Thunder from the Valley"!!!

As a result of a recent design staff conference call, the Connecticut Hurricanes would like to announce that their 2011 Program will explore the music of George Gershwin. "The 2011 show framework was designed with the DCA Fans in mind. The fact that Hurricanes have explored George Gershwin in our storied past is only going to make it that much more special. ", said Kevin Hassan, Corps President and Executive Director, "This early decision demonstrates the great synergy that our new design team has developed." The Corps would also like to announce that their Open House will be held on Sunday November 28, 2010 from 10 AM to 5 PM at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield CT.
