Gino hornlines don't sound smooth and silky like Crown's or BD's. I'm fine with that. It is drum corps, not a symphony. I got into this activity primarily based on the hair erecting electric loudness of it all. Good god Cadets 2007 was exhilarating. Not the smoothest sound, but extremely articulate, precise, and most of all excitingly loud. I was amazed at how fast that corps was moving without compromising any volume. GOOSEBUMPS, one of the loudest hornlines that I've ever stood in front of.

Crown was spectacular in 2007. That should have certainly medaled that year.

I was very um "involved" in 2011 Cadets. That corps was diiiiirty. If there was any proof that the judging system sees what they want to see, that was it for me. 2014, eh nothing to write home about. Could you imagine how BadAz they would have look if they didn't drag their feet in 2015? That would have been spectacular.

I think they're offering too much substance. I'm referring to props. It's getting really overdone, especially in the top 4. I miss the Michael Gaines' Cavaliers. They did so many fantastic drill moves that made your jaw drop without all those crazy props.

I would use the money to get it out of Indianapolis. I can't take friends and family to a city like Indy. After a couple of years, you can't turn DCI finals into a vacation. Orlando was awfully hot but at least I was excited to do other things while I visited. Family vacation to Disney, MGM etc... California in 07 was amazing, I had tons of friends and family come to visit while hitting up all the sites around the Los Angeles area.

This year had a fantastic musical program. It was truly exciting to see them do something very challenging this year in terms of speed and demand. People, judges, and especially members/alumni expect that Cadets pull off a tremendously challenging show. The shear attempt to do something hard is actually part of the effect. I don't think a lot of other corps ride on this very specific expectation. One other expectation is that the Cadets should march very well. For Cadets' historical standards, they have been marching very poorly since 2010. Winning visual performance was never a goal and should never be but upholding a quality standard is critical. I haven't seen them come close 1993, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2005, 2007-2009. I don't know why it took such a drop.
