Lots of corps are using mics to bump up their brass sound. Crown uses it a lot, but there are others like SCV who use it for the small ensembles on the field, and to bump the impacts up, or phantom who has them all along the sideline to up the sound of their much smaller hornlike.

Or to mic their brass, since they use that a ton this year?

Ryan George is the brass arranger. I think he wrote a sick book this year!

Musically, this is an incredibly well designed package, and having seen them rehearse it on the field, visually, its awesome as well. As it cleans, its going to surprise people.

I feel like we are back to our old standard of broadcast though, and I'm good with that. Plus I like that Lonestar ad haha.

The microphone situation looks more like an old DCI-run broadcast, granted, we are indoors, but seems like its more "normal" than DCI West was.

Hmm... FloMarching has new graphics instead of a steady cam on the gate. I wonder if they realized they need to step up their game.

I'm hearing BAC is using electronics and pit too.
