Yawn, whatever. I'm explaining to you why SOME people have a problem with the vocals in Crown's show and not Cavaliers'. I for one enjoy Crown's show and will reserve judgement on the BALANCE of the singing (not the singing itself, that member is wonderful) until I see them this Saturday.

According to people on tour right now with them it's sung live. I could be wrong and it could have BEEN sung live but that is what I've heard.

Cavaliers are for about a total of 15 seconds, I think the thing most people are complaining about with Crown is how much they overtake the corps from the ballad to the end.

I agree, I do wish there was more Mars in there. I'm holding on that that is probably not the final ending.

I never get this saying. I understand the source music (I know Andy too) and LOVE this piece...but if I wanted to hear the source music and someone singing I would listen to a recording of the original. I listen to drum corps to hear different interpretations of it made with brass and percussion (yes and synths now). I have nothing against vocals in drum corps, I just don't like this argument.

First time I've seen the show in a while, they've definitely slimmed down the singing in the ballad a lot.

This singer is very talented...but this would sound better outside, with the amplification that is available, as a horn solo.

It doesn't hurt that the Schwanter Concerto is one of my favorite pieces of music.
