Snagged a ladies polo.  I’ll be at several shows this summer and I’ll wear it as often as I can.

    PepWear owns the assets.
PepWear is liquidating at 50% off the inventory that they have always owned outright and warehoused.

Guess I missed my opportunity for a maroon t-shirt; all that's left is the small size which I guess would work if I was cut like "The Rock". But I'm not & it wouldn't be a pretty sight.  I guess there aren't that many small folks. Everybody be big... 😁

    One more thing…

I want to say something about Jeff.  Even though he ###### me off sometimes, he was the only one I trusted enough in drum corps besides my husband, that I thought it was ok tell what I knew about Robin and Morgan Larson.  Before we talked to Tricia Nadolny anyway.

I'm not suggesting that every predator can be caught.  Impossible.  I had a police officer tell me years ago that they’re lucky to catch one out of one hundred drunk drivers.  But he was happy that he could get that one before they hurt someone. The same with this.

In my college days, I was stopped for speeding by a GA State Trooper in the ATL area on I-20.  I ask him about all of the other folks passing me.  He asked me "when you go fishing, do you catch every fish?" Touché... But he was impressed that my little 4 cylinder could cruise at 88 mph.  That was an expensive ticket for a college student. 🚙😁

    Nailed it!

Sad part is I feel certain Hopkins has a bunch of sock puppet accounts and uses them to glorify himself on these social media sites and forums and he has lackeys that do his bidding for him that think just because of the creativity he created that THAT is what they believed in and followed is WHY they want to follow him into the hounds of hell.

I follow him to watch the Shakespearean tragedy.  It's kind of like watching NASCAR at the Daytona or Talladega tracks.  (You know it's coming.)  You can also identify the members of the cult.  😡😬😄

Love it. I'll be wearing Cadets gear all summer, except on show days.  I'm a Crown dad now so gotta support the kid.

Awesome; I used to go to the premiere every year & watch Crown rehearse in June. I went to Muncie year before last to watch them rehearse & attend the show but didn't make it last year.  I've got my tickets for this year & I'm planning a repeat trip. (Love Crown & love watching their hornline rehearse.)

I'll probably wear my Cadets hoodie to finals. That AC works pretty well in Lucas Oil. (Not complaining about the AC; I like it set to about 65 degrees.) 🥶😄 Godspeed to you & your family this summer!

As somebody who had done a couple seminars, i'll tell you that "Hop Talks" were almost straight out of LifeSpring.  I'm certain he did one of those programs (there are many - EST, Landmark, etc - all stem from the same tree).

"LifeSpring"; is that kind of like "Amway"? (googles "LifeSpring") 😡😄

I mean according to the lawsuit this would’ve been pre GH I believe. Sure the GH stuff was bad and damaged the corps, but up until this lawsuit the corps was loosely financial stable enough to keep going. At least on a season to season basis.

He was actually named in the lawsuit, (statement #35 I think), of having knowledge of the incident & took no action.  I think he may have been the assistant director at the time. I posted about the statement last year under the lawsuit topic but dcp will not let me search.

Who am I kidding?  I'm in pretty decent shape for my age, but the first time I have to run backwards or sideways like a crab I'd fall and break a hip

It's ok; they've got you covered. Most groups now travel with a Level 1 mobile trauma unit.  Hip replacement? Not a problem... 😂

@keystone3plyfor fear of totally hijacking this thread, if you've not read "On Desperate Grounds" by Hampton Sides (https://www.csmonitor.com/Books/Book-Reviews/2018/1018/On-Desperate-Ground-chronicles-the-amazing-voyage-of-the-US-Marines-during-the-Korean-War)   then I encourage you to.  As a former Marine, my interest was obviously tied to the Corps; however, I had NO IDEA just how horrible is was for the Army unit east of the Reservoir.  This book does cover that in a detail.  This link also talks about the specific Army units involved and how they faced overwhelming odds as did the Marines:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Task_Force_Faith  By the way, the book mentions that the coldest night recorded a temperature of over -60 *without windchill*

Thanks; I'll check it out.  We have watched a great documentary on PBS that was really informative with maps, etc showing where the Marines landed on the East Coast under the protection of the Army.  It's probably still available on demand?

But back on topic; I'm ready for PR's 2024 announcement!

It is like pulling teeth to get them to talk about their experiences.  I didn’t even know my father had served in Korea until after he had passed away.  I knew he’d been in (West) Germany but he never talked about Korea.  I can only surmise that he saw a lot.

    God bless your Grandfather.

Ditto here. Dad served (Army Corps of Engineers) in Korea during the war but only talked about when he was in Canada working on part of the Defense Early Warning (DEW line) system. Thank goodness for MASH as pieces started coming out while watching (Kimpo airfield was never that big when I was there).

My father-in-law was in the Army Infantry that were sent in to protect the Marines in the Battle of Chosin Reservoir where the temperatures got as low as 36 degrees below zero. About a year before his passing, we were able to get him talking about it by printing info & pictures from the internet.  The main thing I remember him telling us is that you had to keep your socks & boots dry. The survivors were called the "Frozen Chosen".  Incredible stories.

I guess relating to topic, maybe PR could perform some music from wars of this century? 🤔
