Well, the Blue Devils have cut-outs; it states it right there on their track.  Looks like they're the only one...  😂

TBH, I followed my friends to Guardsmen.  If I’d been a guy, I’d probably have followed those friends to Cavaliers.

Although I'm a percussion guy, I would have chosen the Guardsmen for their quality & unique brass style. ✔️

He may have a clarinet fetish we don’t yet know about… just kidding.

Hey, I appreciate that he has expressed that he’s approachable.  Maybe I’ll walk up and say Hi if I see him.  I’m not shy.

Thank you for my Gary Larson 'Far Side' style picture of Nate sitting across from a clarinet over a candlelit dinner.  Now I wonder about their conversation.  (Kind of like Larson's sousaphone sitting at the bar cartoon.)

We could comment on their potential conversation. 🤔🫢😂

Thank you for posting this interview.  After reading, I don't feel any less nervous about his hiring.

I like his sports marketing background which I DCI really use to push the 'niche' product.

Even if plaintiff doesn’t prevail, the legal costs to Cadets & DCI will be considerable.  As has been said - the process is the punishment.

If the plaintiff were to lose the lawsuit, can the defendants not ask or require that they are paid for their legal fees? Or would they have file a countersuit for those fees? 🤔

New Orleans SuperDome… lol had a quick practice there 1978 American Legion nationals. Only other people in the place was tour groups. Clap your hands and you could follow the echo 4 or 5 times. There…. (turn 180) there… etc etc

Been there & done that in college in the Sugar Bowl. Crazy echo in that dome with the round design & lack of sound dampening materials.

Accurate. I’d post the seating chart but posting pictures on here is like 24 hours of labor.

In the FAQ section from the 2008 article that @Jeff Ream shared, Memorial home or concert side side seats 28,000.  But given that Lucas Oil is an indoor facility, I would think that the turf replacement would run pretty smoothly. The foundation & drainage system is probably in pretty good shape with minimal repairs? Most sites quote a 3-6 week install.

Our new HS turf system install only took about 8 weeks but that was tearing out the Bermuda grass, top soil, & old drainage system. Then the new concrete rim, barriers, foundation, & drainage had to be installed before the turf.  They also had to dodge thunderstorms in May & June.

The 2008 relocation was also the new construction which rarely goes as scheduled. So hopefully the 2024 project will mostly be a turf replacement. 🤷‍♂️ But I could also be an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about. 😁 But I'd rather be in the 'ole oil can.

Shawn I am doing final assembly and I may have overlooked something.  Some snare drums have indentations on two sides of the shell where the snares cross over the bottom shell rim.  I am seeing my cat gut is not sitting on the bottom head no matter how tensioned they are. I'm thinking I need to add these indentations in the shell.  Can you tell me how deep this indentation is on any of your drums?

I think you're referring to the "snare bed"? It's a small contour cut into the bearing edge to allow the snares to rest flat on the bottom snare head. Google "snare bed" for some info & videos. I guess they're cut with a small router bit. May have to send ht shell to a custom builder for a proper cut? Metal shells also have a snare bed.  I think Ludwig used to 'hand hammer' their snare beds in the metal shells. I restore vintage shells but haven't tried recutting bearing edges yet. Good luck!

That's it. I'm setting up DrumCorpsFanDuel.com today and making myself a fortune. Don't any of you goobers steal my idea.

    You can call it OnlyChumps.com

Or DrumCorpsOnlyFans.com? Lots of potential; in so many sordid ways... 😂🥲😂🥲
