yeah. i was up at 6:45, ate, got the 6th grader on the bus at 8:03, got Dunkin, logged in to work, so far have made about 22 calls and got about 30 mailers ready to go, read and or replied to probably 45 emails, fought with an underwriter, conferred on marketing strategy with my boss, sent regards to a title company since i can't make their annual holiday party due to a wedding commitment this weekend, triple checked the work calendar for the afternoon, confirmed the garage door company is coming out tomorrow to replace the broken spring, chatted quick with the wife as she travelled between schools, and am now contemplating what leftovers to eat for lunch.

    need an update later?

You had me at “Dunkin” 🤭

I have some experience with this. I was working bingo at my son’s Catholic school. Someone took another woman’s seat, they started exchanging punches, and the police were called. They are very territorial about where they sit, I guess.  They have bingo at the HOA center where I live, my neighbor asked me to go, but what if I sit in the wrong seat? Am I gonna get my ### kicked by a snowbird?

There's been territorial issues in some churches that I've attended.  But certainly not to that extent. 😂

I’m sorry they didn’t have better weather here.  I think we’re going to have a true El Niño winter.

After this summer's weather pattern, you'll probably have an ice storm & snow in South Florida. Guess we need to stock up on frozen OJ before the price increase. (I love & only drink the fresh Florida's Natural.) 🥶

Southwind doesn’t seem poised to return either. Their parting message seemed to be it was fun but now it’s over. At least, it seemed that way to me. 🤷‍♀️

Yup; I know their new equipment truck is now with The Spartans.  Looks like 'as one might say', merger. (See picture in story) Tuition discount for former Southwind members was announced somewhere on social media.

Yeah we switched. NBC has the performances at the Macy’s and all. CBS is doing a hack job down the road that’s mostly advertising

Our local stations use to delay the broadcast 1 hour. Think it's because we're on central time. Not sure, but they have changed back to the live feed. Never really understood why but maybe they thought it was too early for the central zone folks. 🤷‍♂️

Parade time was to have been bumped up this year to 8:30?  CBS started at 9. It’s 9:25 and we’ve had two broadway numbers advertise their shows and a lot of chatter from the hosts about ones “journey to being a broadway star.” And our second commercial break.

Zero parade.  Aside from what you see in the background as the hosts talk about themselves

Watching nbc; think it was bumped but it takes a little while to reach Herald Square. I went as a consultant with a group several years ago. Crazy thing is getting up at 1am for the tv rehearsal. Rehearsal is usually around 3am then back to the buses to sleep until breakfast & lineup. It's a brutal schedule for adults.  The teenagers might as well just stay up. 😂

I was rewatching There Will be Blood the other day.  I wonder if they used some of the incidental music from that movie in 2022? It’s good.  I believe I recognized some of it. The score is by Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood.

I saw it was on Showtime the other day but didn't have time to watch. Is this the movie with the bowling pin scene? 🤔 Going to try to watch it over the holidays.

There should be enough Tubas there to even make @Hook'emCavies light up.

    Any DCPers in that group?

Got some friends & colleagues marching.  Five total that I know; 2 sousaphones, 1 trombone, 1 quad, & 1 piccolo.  One of the sousaphones has been training marching 3 miles per day around their school's track with the horn.  The quad did not do any training & said his back is killing him today after starting their rehearsals.  (No report on the other two, but the piccolo is probably 'daisy' fresh this evening & smells like Chanel No. 5.)  😂

I don’t think SOS was ever held at Harlem High, at least when we marched. It would have been at the old campus because the “New” High School opened in Machesney Park in ‘75. I always remember it being at Boylan HS.

just an FYI… I started taking Prevagen about a year ago. I now have the memory of a jellyfish!🪼

Just what my wife states that I need; 'no brains but the ability to learn & form memories'. :spitting:
