I think BK should just change the name of their show to something that fits their theme more, maybe “Run Frantically to Prop” would be a better fit.

Really wish they would skip int if they know bad weather is coming.

I’m gonna get crucified for this, but after my 3rd live performance of crown the app gimmick just isn’t working. I don’t mean that it technically doesn’t work, I mean from an audience perspective it just isn’t working yet. It seems like no one wants to watch a drum corps show while they have their phone in their hand. The corps March and play well, but the gimmick and all just seems a little forced at the moment. Maybe more will buy into it as the season progresses.

BD plays the prop game better than anyone. You barley notice them being pushed around by the members. Every other group it becomes a a major distraction watching the members look like they are struggling to love the prop, or there so low to the ground all you see is member hunched over pushing them around (phantom).

I can’t believe Michael Gaines wrote that drill for SCV. Where is the visual impact? Where is the color guard? The group seems very talented but the show design is way off.

Makes me sad to say, but I think the colorguard and visual will hold phantom back significantly in scoring. The guard isn’t only weak, but they spend too much time pushing around props and transitioning. Not one part of the show was I impressed with their handling of equipment. Hopefully it gets better.

Speaking of visual proficiency…. what exactly sis the visual technique for hauling a$$ while pushing a cumbersome prop? It is so distracting and is happening in so many shows this year.

Love Phantom’s show…but that colorguard needs some serious attention.
