1.) BD- can someone else please do better… 2.) Boston- they deserved to win 3.) Crown- strong artistic story, a little weird? 4.) Regiment- I know but strong staff not only creates a competitive show but has influence with judges 5.) Blue Coats- everybody loves them 6.) Cadets- on edge of being further up 7.) mandarins- great design improvement and corps effort, need to change their name. 8.) cavies- aggressive, powerful but never really clean it up 9.) blue stars- too competitive for them to make the big run up 10.) Blue Coats- cause their show is a little better than the bottom two 11.) Colts- improving, holding 12.) Troopers- cause they need it and they’re old school.

Lose the trombone features, just for the sake of featuring trombones, and because that’s what others do. Nice sounding horn line, bones not so nice. Too much percussion battery to start, too clique. You know, dci all now starts slow and builds to crescendo. If you want to give us some Regiment, just let us have it right away; you can do that and still be relevant. If Regiment wants to be both true to their roots and relevant, and innovative, how about a real aria with symphonic accompaniment, and could be done quite theatrically… which I think can be done now? Agree, not enough melody. Right now dci is too obscure in the name of art…an innovative show could provide something recognizable, or melodic and powerful, while also being avante guard and with the times. MHO
