Prior to attending my first Drum Corps Associates World Championships, all I ever heard was, "Are you going to DCA's?" Why DCA's? I mean, doesn't DCA's = Drum Corps Associates's <--- apostrophe s. I don't think I would refer to it as DCI's which would = Drum Corps International's. I found it strange...but maybe I'm all alone. Can anyone shed a little light on this?

The videos are still illegal on youtube whether or not you want to learn a corps drill with the best intentions. Two words: Season Pass

I vaguely remember the "New Day" drum corps having scores in the late 1980s that rivaled that one. I particularly remember them at DCM prelims scoring under 10 points during that era. Anyone remember them?

This is great news! Great teachers produce results wherever they are. I am excited to see what Mike Jackson can bring to the drum corps field. His work speaks for itself! Check out those RCC and Mission Veijo lines. Brian Mason did fantastic work with Cavaliers and Phantom Regiment. Sounds like Vanguard is trying to break new ground again. Go SCV!
