  1. Hey John, how are you? The Phone Company of the 70s was awesome and your are absolutely correct! Being in front of them was hard to miss. The Cabs Alumni mellophone section is not too shabby either.
  2. Again, being a drummer, what would I know but the Cabs Alumni mellophone section always impressed me.
  3. Kevin, I am a drummer but I believe there are only mellos. I have been out of corps for 6 years so I can't confirm if they have added French horns.
  4. Yes, I remember him reading literature on long bus rides and even grading papers.
  5. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jack and his family. I was with Cabs drum line when Jack assisted George Tuthill. Jack was instrumental in pulling the drum line together in 1972. Everyone who marched in the drum line can remember the grueling drum exercises Jack put us through, particularly in 1972 in Chicago. Jack also wrote the last drum solo in 1972 and has been played by the Alumni corps for many years. I also recall JAck's zany humor which always seemed to break some tense moments. I hope he beats this thing.
  6. I've been lableled a dinosaur. Just call me "Bronto". :)
  7. Why bother scoring then? It's a joke based on subjective opinions.
  8. Let's put in the tick system and see who scores a 99.025.
  9. Nah, never DM fights. We saved our fights after the show!
  10. Don, it was pretty lively. Mike still thinks we watered down the drum parts in Chicago. I was trecently with several of my Cabellero friends s who marched that year and we all agreed we never watered down parts.
  11. Hi Dave! Yeah, it was a problem on their side. How are you? Also hello ato any Caballeros out there as well as drum corps friends!
  12. Well the gimmick in the past was just ignore the rule. and play Cherry Pink.
  13. Dennis, you could have driven up there and watched the entire show! LOL!
