will be a busy Saturday evening for me depending on where they slot me for indiviuals time 6:00 to ?... then blow off at 8:17 to 8:45... then Royal Airs exhibition before mini-corps 8:45... my chops are up for it... I've been practicing against the concrete wall in the basement for a couple of weeks now... The girls are about ready to throw me out of the house... BRING IT ON!!! -
Thank You - these comments are the reason I keep coming back to the Midwest for the Royal Airs performances - along with all the great people of the Royal Airs.... Yes - we are serious - and yes we do rock the house... and don't you forget it. This show was a great success and had a great corps line up... It would have been great to have the Kilties there also... pre combine... pre dci days... The old VFW/AL line up....

Congratulations Frank. See you in Madison.

Cool - I wasn't trying to 'diss ya - can understand your feelings. I figured this was the case. I know you have respect for BD. I've had some people mad at me for leaving corps in the past as well as now. In the end I think truth prevails and people deal with it in their own ways..
-
You are marching in the Renegades aren't you? Plenty of BD people there... Hope you do not feel that way now.
-
Yep - how could we forget Ming the Merciless... I am sure we will hear about this at next camp - sorry Rick.

As a Blue Devil alum, it is my job to rag on both you guys - LOL... I have a lot of respect for both your corps. Amazing as you get older the competiton factor fades and you just want to meet some of the people you marched on the same fields/parades with - share old war stories. -
last reply - it's a ##### growing old and forgetting people - Pete Burneko, Doug Huras, Larry Pawlowski, Billy Roetzer, Dave Mitchell, Jim Sobacki (more technical) Jeffsjetta listed some GREAT senior corps soloist.
-
Should have thrown in Jim Brady from the Saints/Bridgemen... I have yet to meet him or CHEZ... hopefully arrangerx can make that happen. maybe at a local pub in Madison.
-
hey Rich - didn't mean to leave ya out of this list - it's just there were so many in BD and the west coast.. #### I even forgot some good friends.. Duane Schimmel, Jay Long, Barry Trent, Larry Dodd, Todd Tanji.. you know some of these dudes. Diane Fashing - #### of a player. Beware 6/22/02.. :D

Well.... yes they could - but what fun would that be? LOL LOL -
I have known a few of these dudes in my lifetime - How's this for a lead soprano line... Chris Metzger, Dave Tippett, Tommy Meredith, Robert "Cisco" Riviera, Dave Kisting (technical chops also), Chris Ferrara, Jeff Kievit, Greg "Harpo" Blum, Chuck Naffier, CHEZ, Larry Dastrup (no one ad libs like Larry), Art West, Jeff Preistly...All of these dudes could scream their ##### off.. and the best female screamers I have ever heard - Lynne Marcil, Beth Gieck, and the soloist in Channel One Suite from '86 Blue Devils - sorry - forgot her name. Bonnie Ott didn't really scream - but I'll list her anyway.

Come on Frank - you know I live in Denver...Remember those Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos...back to back baby... I won't even mention the SF.. oops. I think they have a few Super Bowls under their belt also. Drum and Bugle Corps champions - Troopers, Kingsmen, SCV, BD... Speaking of Idaho - it has some of the most beautiful landscape in the country. Can you say Rocky Mountains? Beats the poop out of living in the frozen tundra - LOL. Now you know this is all OT and in fun....... :D -

LOL LOL LOL - never figured out those skid marks either... Although it does make it exciting for the fans... Like - did you hear those mother####### sopranos scream that last passage - got to love it - and the Renegades are full of hosses like that - can't wait to hear you this summer. -

I guess the consensus is King/Kanstul's RULE and DEG/Dynasty drools - at least in key of G drum and BUGLE corps - LOL. Kinda like West is Best and... you know the rest - just an opinion like sphincter muscles - everyone has one. :P -
HUH? I guess I have lost a little hearing over the years. I think it's been all the LOUD baritone players I've stood next to - of course they are probably saying the same about me - LOL. Still a rookie on this dam newsgroup - guess I have to much of a life. (8-]

....and with that money we can buy more beers - LOL. I just got back from RA rehersal this weekend - things are going just fine. I broke out the 2v King to see if there was any difference in sound - I think there are some leaks in that old horn. It still plays well - tribute to Ziggy. I still prefer my 3v Kanstul. Frank - I think I still have a 12C laying around somewhere. I will use that piece - but ya got to let me play a double C (doube F for Louis and bflaters). The summer is just around the corner - I can't wait. :D Good luck and vibes to all the corps. Accentuate the positive. -

Geoff - It is very strange seeing a PR dude that likes King horns - didn't you guys blow on DEG/Dynasty in your days? I know there are some 2v laying in the back of the Blue Knights warehouse - they need lots of TLC. I'll talk to Mark Arnold and see if he wants to sell some of them - #### they are just collecting dust. -

I think I have one of those in my closet... Picked it up from the Blue Knights - gave one to Kenny Norman also. Love that Ziggy horn - I can remember when we got new ones in 1981 (plastic wrap and all) and Wayne saying "guard those horns with your life" - LOL. What's a drum corps horn without a few dents and the finish rubbing off. I think I'll stay with my 3 valve Kanstul - it's only 3 years old now - just breaking it in. -

Chris - count me in - guess I better find a local liquor store in Scranton that might have "Fat Tires" - or pack another suitcase just for beers - LOL... This will be FUN!
