  1. Oh no you didn't! :sshh: I was actually referring to the trip back home after DCA last year. All these show ideas were floating around in the van while driving down I-81. Some of the people who flew instead of take the van thought we were insane when they heard our idea for the 2005 show. ****NI!!!***** Scott Rhodes suggested doing gospel music. The staff took that idea and morphed it into something more than just gospel but an exploration of various styles of sacred music.
  2. Driving in a cramped van down the interstate late at night deprived of sleep and surviving on truck stop food... that's how we come up with show ideas down here.
  3. Well there goes my show idea for 2006! (Just kidding)
  4. MCL had a killer camp weekend Aug 13/14. I have not marched and played this hard since jr. corps. It figures when you have an alumni of '92 Star writing your finale drill he will show no mercy. I think we have the most challenging show in Class A and the most exciting and entertaining. See you on the 50! (Really, I end the show ON the 50.... after hauling some serious butt.. near the top of the.... you'll see!) B)
  5. What's the direct link to the Yahoo group? Searching for "Prarie Sound" in Yahoo groups and can't find it.
  6. Now Patrick, you know how things change around here all the time! LOL!
  7. Just got back home from Jackson, Tn. (2 a.m.) We scored 62.20 on Div II/III sheets. http://www.dci.org/scores/recap.cfm?event_...af-53bfe15feff2 Still have about 8 pagest of drill left to learn at the end of the show otherwise the score would have been higher.
  8. Hey Steph, be sure to say "hi" at our info booth on Friday!
  9. That's cool! Would this then make it the biggest Class A lineup in DCA history?
  10. It's been a while since our last update so here goes! Music City Legend will make it's presence known this weekend at DCI's Masters of the Summer Music Games at MTSU Stadium in Murfreesboro this Friday night, July 29th. We'll have our biggest and most impressive info booth yet at the show and will canvas the entrance gates and pass out flyers with info about the corps. This has always been our biggest recruiting event as the majority of our current members found out about MCL at this show in the past two years. Traditionally there are around 15,000 fans in attendance! The following night we'll be just 2 hours west of Nashville in Jackson, Tennessee performing as a "judged exhibition" at Music In Motion, a DCI Div II/III contest sponsored by Memphis Sound. We will have our info booth set up here as well. As long as we continue to recruit as well as we did the past two years and our current growth rate continues unchanged, we hoope to field a corps of at least 75 members in 2006! Always looking ahead,
  11. Awesome shot! Sorry that MCL won't be at the show this weekend but we have a DCI show nearby on the same night as Winston Salem. We decided it was more important to get more local exposure to help recruit for next year. We'll be doing some major recruiting this weekend during DCI Masters in Murfreesboro and then the Div II/III show in Jackson, Tn!
  12. Thank you! This thread is about helping corps who need help.
  13. Memphis Sound posted a plea for assistance on their website. http://www.memphisdrumcorps.org/Pages/news/fuel_fund.htm I also understand that Fever from California might be having difficulty as well. Are there any other corps whether Div I, II or III that are experiencing problems?
  14. Memphis Sound did post a plea for help on their website. http://www.memphisdrumcorps.org/Pages/news/fuel_fund.htm

  16. Awesome! Thanks! Now we have a complete list. I'm actually surprised that any corps were allowed in any Williamson County Schools (Franklin). I think a few years ago that school district completely shut their doors to any non-school related activities.
  17. Just added Phantom Regiment. Still waiting for Scouts and Boston. Phantom Regiment John Overton High School 4820 Franklin Rd. Nashville, Tn. 18. I know Cavies have done it several times the past 4 years. Don't know how they decide who's doing the clinics.
  19. Cavaliers are doing the clinic at MTSU. Not sure what time it starts but I think it's usually around 5 p.m. You could also go check out other corps during the day. Link to Mufreesboro corps housing thread... http://www.drumcorpsplanet.org/forums//ind...showtopic=67870
