  1. I'm going to Reading, already have my tickets. It's my son's first drum corps show. This ought to be interesting. He 9 mths old. Got to start him out right. I can't make Lewisburg.
  2. This really sucks. I always enjoyed the Hershey show. Now I will only get to one show this year.
  3. Just let me know what you need and I'll see if I can help. I will pass this info to my Director at Conrad Weiser, he will be happy to hear this. They have been hosting DCI corps for the past couple years and the kids come to observe a practice.
  4. I'm looking forward to see how this turns out. I hope there is a good interest from the students and staffs of Cavalcade because another local corps is needed and I feel the demand for one is there. I wish you good luck
  5. I love seeing a new corps forming, especially if it's around the Harrsiburg, Lancaster, Lebanon area. My question is why just limit it to Cavalcade Students only when competing in DCA. There is only one local corps in Reading, you might get a bigger turnout and invite staffs to march also. What better training tool. Students and Teaching marching together. I am bringing my indoor perc unit into the Cavalcade circuit and I would love the chance to march with a local corps. I was hoping to march this year but most corps are out of the area by a good distance.
  6. You could also try an arts and crafts store. I know there is a big one on rt 22 H-Burg at Target and Kohls in that strip mall. They have odd stuff like that. Good Luck on your search. Greg Lee Lebanon High School Percussion Instructor/Arranger
  7. Can anyone give me any advice on tuning a concert bass for outdoor marching season. I am looking for the boom and projection the DCI corps get from their concert bass. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  8. I think their uni's are cool. I wouldn't change them.
  9. The tone strips are just easier to use. They are not expensive, (it might be a dollar or more expensive then buying foam and an adhesive). The tone strips hold under wet weather very well. My thought would be just to order the tone strips and forget about the other crap
  10. I just use Pearl's tone foam. It works great for me.
  11. what gives with the crossmen only 6 snares. I hope some were missing.
  12. I loved when the bassline carried the triple stack basses. If I recall that was back in the early 90's. I personally know the perc judge loved them too. Those were good years.. Good Luck to you guys this year. Always a Bush fan. :)
