  4. I just wanted to say it was nice to see the corps in Clifton. Sara was very excited to see her dad perform. We rushed to get her tkt to her because Spirit got there just as you all were headed on the field. Wishing you the best of luck in the next couple of weeks, will hopefully get to see the corps again after tour. Terri, Chris, Tex..... great to see you guys again!!
  5. Yes Patti.... you were on the side line with Stan and Doreen point fingers at me to tell me which way to go....yes it was rather comical. 92 was a fun year to be rookie and we were a great bunch LOL.
  6. Tom, Yes I remember you DMing the rookie run through, hence why Patti and Doreen were giving the hand signals to me I was the only rookie mello doing the run through and it was my first week there. LOL
  7. Terri, I remember our rookie run through in 92, I had just come off tour from teaching BK and I remember I didn't have the drill down pat yet, and relied heavily on guiding the forms off the other mellos. I remember during the rookie run through seeing Patti and Doreen giving me hand signals as to where to go next. It was an awesome time.
  8. Patty, Yes that was a Carlism. Because if you remember Rich Guillen saying to Carl afterwards " Exnay on the Utchay Carl"
  9. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the memories come flooding back, took out the photo album....and needless to say had a big smile on my face looking at the photos ( to see how tiny Sara was in most of them)!!!!!!!!! Hard to believe that she will be competing this summer. Tom have a great time teaching them songs this weekend!! To sun, good luck out on the Island on Saturday, I will call Danny on Sat night to see how you guys did. .....and to Sun alumni that are with other corps this summer good luck to all of you with your upcoming season!!
  10. Tex.....if you are saying that you know have to remember all the words to all the songs...that some song lessons might be happening with the newer Sunrisers??? Lots of good memories with Sun...... Some of the greatest times in Drum Corps
  11. Playing # 2 at the last rehersal prior to a show weekend always got me psyched for the season, hopefully the same thing happened to the current Sunrisers old and new. Good luck Sun in Long Island this coming weekend.
  12. Oh Yes Terri and I too remember that incident all too well!!!!!!!!!! Hence why he won animal of the year that year, at the expense of my car. LOL
  13. The funniest was the whole Bob Releya learning Bo Bo incident in Rochester at the party after finals. Talk about meeting the beer family
  14. Boy quite a bunch of us were 92 rookies. That was a lot of fun!!!!!
  15. LOLOL Chris I was trying to post a response under the romance thread, and not about the romance thread when Brina pressed the return button LOLOL
  16. Tex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How the heck are you????????
  17. Terry, OMG how the memories come rushing back with all the pics and posts. I have to say that 1997 was my favorite year. Personally for me, it was a blast and to finish fourth that year well......... Where is that chicken alarm clock when you need it ??
  18. I know, I know how time flies by can't believe CJ will be three. Sara will be entering 6th grade in the fall. She tried out and made the guard for Spirit of NJ, she is the youngest but this is a great accomplishment for her. Both Danny and I are very proud of her. Thanks Chris
  19. :D I just want to wish the Sunrisers all the best of luck this summer. It is sooo great to hear that the corps is doing so well. I don't know how much I will be able to see the corps this summer, as Sara is marching division III this summer and I will be traveling and teaching the corps. Again best of luck this year!!
  20. Hornplayers don't dut we dahh. Plus if you can't fiqure out how your DM is conducting then it is time for a new DM,
  21. For me it would have to be Jack Meehan he brought a little of west coast philosophy to an east coast corps. The next would have to be Mike Londgo, he had a way of getting players to give their all.
  22. I believe it was an alto horn, a little bigger than a flugel and a little smaller than a mellophone. I marched in Crossmen in 1990 and he was our instructor and we used Kanstul Altos and if I remember correctly he was saying that he had a hand in the production of the horns,
