we had willing players use ancle weights on there horn that can range from a 5 to 10 pounds, when i played baritone, i hated it just be cause i was twevle and couldnt hold the dang thing up, reasons for me going bigger im still tring to figure that out!

I like Bach chorale 320 we didnt play it during the summer though :( But we did hear the bandettes plasy it during a warm up. I though it was the funnest thing!

You are defenatly going to want to get you arms in shape for the thing!!! Dont get scared when you first start drill, youll be fine, if you hit some one theyll live, I think i nailed about four people last year, each dent in that horn i have a story fory mostly because each dent in the horn i put in ... I was so scared that i would kill the horn during the first week of tour... anyway its going to be ruff the first couple of weeks but the pain just turns in to annoyance after awhile... its all mental, I i could do it any one defenatly can!!! as to the sousa question... The contra is alot better i hate the sousa... the only thing i can complain a bout the contra is that your blind on your left side so you should wach real carefully... hope this helps good luck!!!

Alright, Come on now I know there are contra players still looking for a corps somewhere. My corps is looking for more players. We have a goal of 50! The corps bought BRAND NEW horns last year. In december People were still taking the plastic off the horns. I can tell you the music is is awesome, this year, there are alot of stange but fun rythms. Its not to Hard but I would love to see some more contras! Not only are we looking for more horns but we would like to fill our color gaurd too. Is there anyone interested in the Canos, when I first went to the camp I knew for sure that I wasnt going to join but things changed, Within a couple of hours I felt like I was home agian. No one will ever know if you dont try!

Im with the hornline. We ware looking for more players Mellos contras and sops to be exact baris are always welcome. I would really love to see the goal of 50 horns. This years show is going to rock. This is going to be an awesome year, I really hope to see more contras But if you play a different horn, And your still looking to join a corps just give the canos a try YOU WONT REGRET IT. Thats what my brass instructor wants us to use is the conn helberg. Whats the Difference?

I have three Mouthpeices an 2 Bach, A 22, and a 18, and some yamaha not sure of the cup size i know that its small though. whats the best?

Americanos Baby we are going to rock this summer i could tell just by the improvement in the second day of the first camp

Well I guessed i lucked out the contra I play for the Canos is a convertable concert tuba so its problay not as heavy lucky for me i play almost the same tuba at school,so they weigh the same the only difference is mines gold and has four valves, but its not convertable. as you can see in the picture<<< its totaly different! But Thanx for all the advice i will defently use it!

Thanx for the Info It seems that the Americanos are going to be ok so I will be marching with them this year. I do encourage any one to please come to their camps This year is is going to be great. They have all new staff. This is my first year with the Canos,And I love it. They are still postions in every section so come and give the Canos a try. The next Camp is some time this month. Im goin to the Next Colts Camp to try out for contra. Right Now there are problems with the Americanos ( cant go in to specifics) that may force us not march. I have a feeling im going to kill myself as when i went to my first canos camp. Like i said Ill deal with it.

When i went to canos camp i about killed my self i hurt for like two weeks they thing im hearing i might go to the colts and the have regualr contras HELP!!! ill deal with it!
