It tells me that either the Crossmen didn't use them for that show or you must have missed them. I watched them rehearse a few days ago, and their pit was most definintely mic'd and there were speakers on both sides of the pit as well. Not to mention very visible microphones on the keyboards.

If you look hard enough, you will see a "sameness" in many aspects of the activity that goes back many years (and decades for that matter) before 1987. This is nothing new in drum corps.

did magic really use a metronome for most of their performance ?? a friend said they did, but i don't believe they would do that in uniform.
