Superchops and all those other bogus methods need to be burned. There is no "Get Rich Quick" scheme to playing trumpet. You're gonna have to put in the work just like everyone else.

Yes, it is your opinion, and I also have mine. No problem. Don't think I'm putting BD (Wayne Downey, rather) on the same level as Ellington, but still, I didn't see much of a problem with the design of their show.

Duke Ellington wrote several pieces based on trains, their motions, and their sounds. Duke Ellington was also one of the greatest American composers to have ever lived.

SCV was 5th place last year. 2nd should be realistic enough. I'd like to see SCV get 1st or 2nd. It's better than 5th isn't it?

What I personally don't understand is... Even SCV fans are admitting that SCV is dirty right now. BD is obviously cleaner and executing at a better level. Why shouldn't BD score higher?

I agree, BD has one of the easiest shows in the top 12. I'm pretty sure had they given the show to BD-C (Div 3) they would play it just as well, if not better. What would you expect from such an amazingly easy show. I also agree about BD sounding like a big band. A corps playing jazz shouldn't sound like a big band, what the #### is wrong with this guys? They've got everything ### backwards.

Why not just play a low brass instrument (ie: baritone) And what auditions are you talking about? It's July. Corps don't have auditions till December
