As I recall, there was a claim the judges had them in 3rd before they got disqualified but that was met with general derision and no one could (or would) produce actual sheets...and that was when they were ticking down, not building up scores so the sheets definitely would've been telling...oh well, helps build the legend. haha

Ah...duly noted! They DID catch Cadets in 2000 with the Niagara Falls show. Best Finals I ever got to attend actually.

Agreed...I've been a BD fan since they were born and they are the GOAT of the DCI game for sure. But like every corps, they have age out turnover every year. Thus it comes down to the instructors/designers if they have an excellent squad every year (which they do), yes? It is great to see them (and all the corps) push the envelope. I just hope 'coaching' doesn't cost them or any corps a title.

We all know that clean kills come finals week, right? If so, why write in such a register if intonation and the like could be the tenth of a point that knocks you out of a title? While bold and ballsy, is it worth the risk? It's like the Seahawks passing in the Super Bowl when they had Beast Mode and pissing away victory...a little too cute by half possibly?

Toss up...but BD will get the nod...if you're gonna hit the king, ya better kill the king!
