  11. The Rochester Crusaders continue to progress towards their goal of re-claiming a top 10 DCA position. Enthusiasm is running high following the corps 4th camp weekend in Livonia NY. The 7sn, 4 ten, 4 bass battery is totally enjoying the Scott Johnson perc charts. At this point at least half of our rehearsal time has been dedicated to establishing uniformity and musicality of thechnique and the results are apparent. We are still searching for a #5 bass and 1 or 2 keyboard percussionists. Our first appearance is in Jamestown NY on March 12. We will also be performing at St. Joe's "Classic" the last Saturday in April. Our next camp is March 5 and 6 in beautiful downtown Johnsongurg PA. Transportation can be arranged for potential members. Please visit our web site at www.rochestercrusaders.org.
  12. Don't like the sound, REALLY don't like their appearance (obviously subjective)
  13. I do indeed stand corrected. in fact, I'm surprised that I remembered THAT much! Storky
  14. 1972 Roosevelt Stadium NJ (fortunately no longer with us). We (Crusaders) had a little confrontation with the Skyliners, who were the only corps we didn't beat that year. Lefty Meyer and his entourage nose to nose with Vince Bruni, both parties backed up by their entire corps. Cooler heads ultimately prevailed as we were outnumbered ~ 120 to 90 (our female guard notwithstanding). Only a few punches and beer bottles thrown. Could have been much worse. Memorable none the less.
